The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Ross Township

Went to honey baked in Merrillville, IN today (8/9/24) and the chicken sandwich I received was so dry, tasteless, croissant bread not fresh and pickle was shriving up (horrible). I had to go come and fix it up and that’s a shame!! If I had the time I would’ve taken the sandwich back.

This business need to get back to the food being fresh and delicious. This particular location I don’t know about all locations has really gone down (quality wise) and it use to be awesome! Need to train how to make delicious and presentable food. I’m glad I didn’t purchase anything else.

I called to place an order for two hams, potato salad, and croissants. I spoke to the nicest, friendliest person whose name was Diana. I asked if it would be possible to do curbside pickup for an elderly couple. She was extremely accommodating and just a pleasure to talk to. She packed our order perfectly and placed it in their car when they arrived. All of our food was delicious. I can not say enough great things about Diana! We live in Valparaiso and have not been here in quite some time. However, we will definitely be ordering from this location more frequently due to the great food and their great team. I first learned about this place when it was still called Heavenly Baked Ham and have been a fan ever since. My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich and the roast beef sandwich. I love that you can get a box lunch for a great price. You Can your choice of a signature or classic sandwich, cookie or brownie (although brownies are an additional charge), chips, drink, and a pickle for only $.25 extra.
