I wish Google let you leave 0 stars. Words cannot even begin to describe my disappointment in this place. I had been to this place twice before, and it was good. However, it's been a couple of years. What I experienced during this visit was un-freaking-believable. I ordered a carne asada plate with enchiladas. First of all, I needed a magnifying glass to find my steak. The owner should be embarrassed serving that to people. It was probably a 2 or 3 oz. steak. (I wish I was joking, but sadly I'm not.) The plate didn't even come with rice, so I ordered a side. That was a mistake. The rice was mushy and gross. I ordered guacamole to eat with the chips. Another mistake. The chips were stale and the guac...I'm willing to bet it came premade from a grocery store where they have no idea how to make guacamole. Bland is an understatement. The beans- I'm pretty sure they counted them out. The enchiladas- I could have made something better at home myself. I thought my plate was bad, but then I saw my sister's. She ordered the beef fajitas. There were literally only 5 tiny strips of meat on the skillet. This place should be ashamed. If you're going to charge me $18 for my plate and $8 for guac, you better actually put food on my plate. I don't want to hear any excuses about inflation. If you need to raise prices because of that, okay. But don't cut the amount of food in half also. If the food is good and portions aren't stingy, I'll pay whatever. This place, though, officially lost my business. I wish I had taken pictures of the laughable plates of food they brought out. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Such a poor excuse for a restaurant. Especially a Mexican restaurant. They don't even serve (alcoholic) drinks. This place ain't it. I've never in my life left a restaurant so upset and...
Read moreI honestly feel like even 1 star is pushing it but it's the lowest rating I am able to give. We got the queso with taco meat added and it was extremely watered down-it literally made a sloshing sound in the container. There was no flavor and about a tablespoon of meat added. We were going to look past that but the rest of the meal was bad as well. The chicken in the kids chicken strips was extremely dark, I understand this is to ensure it is fully cooked as it is hand breaded but my son said it was hard to chew and when I checked it was very dry. My husband got the steak burrito-once my husband finally found a tiny piece of steak in all the flavorless refried beans and shredded cheese it was gritty, full of fat, and also had no flavor. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup which had the smallest amount of pulverized chicken at the bottom of the clear container. There were veggies in it so I'll give the establishment 0.5 stars for that but the broth tasted like warm salt water which is fine you aren't a fan of flavor. When I spoke to the manager he said we needed to bring the food back to in his words "give us something." We dont live close so I offered to send proof that I was discarding the food to which he declined and stated that he "wanted his food back." So my husband did take it back and we are currently awaiting a refund minus the tip we had left. Overall, first and last time customers. I can only think that the majority of the good reviews for this establishment are from people who were served the free alcohol they...
Read moreThe first time I had Kiki's delivered it was absolutely delicious! I had steak fajita quesadillas, Guacamole Salad & Queso Flameado w/Steak. Everything was fresh, good flavor everything I was looking for in a new Mexican restaurant since I was new to the area - I started off by sampling the simpler things! It was so good, I ordered the exact same thing again tonight. This time it wasn't bad, but not like it was the first time. They forgit the Guacamole, They forgot the Flour tortillas for the Queso Flameado w/steak. Last time the Queso did not have Cilantro in it. Thats one reason I liked Kiki's so much - the didn't out cilantro in every little thing they served! You either like cilantro or you hate it - me I hate the stuff! TThat is the one reason i stay away from a lot of commercial places like On the Border, Chuy's, Chili's, etc. Everything they make has cilantro in it!! Tonight Kiki's put Cilantro in my Queso Flameado! It wasn't just a little either - the guac has little in it but you can not taste it - they put a lot in it! It took over the taste of fresh tomato & grilled onions w/steak!! All you could taste was Cilantro. I actually pulled 2 large stems/bushes of cilantro out of the melted cheese &that still wasn't all of it! Don't know if I'll order from them again only because of my dislike of cilantro. I love that items are made fresh, but i also need consistency with ingredients as I do have have a limited diet with a lot of food that is restricted. Are you or are you not going to put cilantro in Queso...
