Okay food for the price. Just donβt watch the workers for your peace of mind.
Got the Philly Wrap and Combination Platter
Philly Wrap: Looked nothing like the picture. It was basically like diced ground beef, bell peppers, onions, and mushroom with white cheese lining the edges. Tasted okay, not super worth it. Sopping wet in grease. No sauce on top at all.
Combination Platter: Salad is just some whole slices of onion, sliced tomato, 2 slices of cucumber, and some shredded red and green cabbage I think. Hummus was alright. Gyro and chicken served over rice with some sauce, a tahini sort of mix I think. It was pretty decent and worth it for the price. It could be split into 2-3 meals, but I could also eat it in one sitting.
The part you ignore (donβt want to know): Employees came off break without washing their hands from touching their phones and coming from outside. They immediately put a glove on their right hands only, still using their left bare hands to touch food or the insides of containers and wrappers. They used some dry rages to wipe some surfaces off while prepping, scratching their arms or other areas occasionally. One used a rag to wipe around their ankle area.
I assume this happens pretty frequently in smaller less professional restaurants like this, so I eat the food anyways. I would eat here again if I was craving it and didnβt feel like going somewhere nicer and...
Β Β Β Read moreThe food and convenience of being right down the street has been the only thing to bring me back. One time I ordered pickup through seamless and when I got there my order had not been placed and they informed me they no longer used seamless. The guy was not empathetic at all and just kinda shrugged like it wasn't his problem. I was starving that day and frustrated by the situation that i didnt go back for a while. Once again I try to give them another shot and attempt to place an online order. I decide this time to go straight to their website, I get through the whole process of choosing my food and putting in my information for it to not work and then for it to say that specific location is offline. Their phone lines make it incredibly difficult to get through to an actual person. I ended up just ordering through Doordash storefront costing me $20 more than if I had just ordered it there. If you go in the food is good and you won't have any issues, but just be aware you might have some difficulties ordering online or by phone unless your willing...
Β Β Β Read moreFor people who care about falafel, I can see how going in here and not seeing a lot of people, and then seeing that they also make hamburgers and other things, might give one pause. I'm here to let y'all know that this right here is probably the best falafel I've had in Sacramento. They're very nice and while I was waiting a number of takeout orders were being picked up, which is a good sign. The falafel itself is well spiced and it's good that it comes with hummus and other ingredients, it was very fresh and tasty, I got two falafel wraps, it was really nice for them to let me wait for my pickup in the bitter cold. I definitely will return when I'm in this area, which is not too often, but I'm glad that they were open past 5:00 p.m. and also had decent food. There's not a lot of modestly priced eating options in Sacramento's downtown, and I will remember this...
