My recent visit to House Kitchen was quite a letdown, marred by a series of customer service failures and disappointing food quality. Despite its promising menu, the experience left much to be desired and raised concerns about the overall management of the establishment.

Upon arrival, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. There was no acknowledgment from the staff as I walked in, clearly, I had to ask for assistance to get an order in. It took several minutes before anyone even glanced in my direction, and when someone finally did, their attitude was indifferent at best. This lack of attentiveness set a negative tone for the entire visit.

When I finally placed my order, I was looking forward to a hearty meal. However, the problems didn't end with the initial lack of acknowledgment. When my sandwich and mac n cheese arrived, I quickly noticed that both were missing a key ingredient: the bacon. This oversight significantly detracted from the flavors and overall enjoyment of the meal. A bacon-less sandwich and mac n cheese are far less satisfying, especially when bacon is a featured component.

I brought the missing bacon to the attention of the staff, but instead of an apology or a quick remedy, I was met with a dismissive response. They seemed unconcerned about the mistake and made no effort to correct it or compensate for the oversight. This indifferent attitude towards customer satisfaction was particularly frustrating.

Overall, my experience at House Kitchen was characterized by poor customer service, a lack of acknowledgment, and careless mistakes with the food. The unwelcoming atmosphere and indifferent attitude of the staff, combined with the missing ingredients in my meal, made for a disappointing dining experience. Happy Friday!!! Three different co-workers recommended this restaurant. On Thursday, two of my co-workers went to the House Kitchen for delicious lunch. And just to back track a little more, one of them did meet the Kings Players dining at the restaurant.. Another incentive for Kings fans to check out this restaurant. Yesterday my co-worker ordered salmon sandwich. So today, she described her delicious salmon sandwich. That made my mouth watery and next thing you know my tummy was making rumbling noises. I had to try it out. Guess what I ordered - - - - Salmon sandwich but with a little twist. I requested bacon to be replaced with avocado. That came with delicious French fries. As expected, Salmon was delicious but lacked a little salt and pepper. After adding those key components, it was delicious. My salmon was perfectly cooked. As described in the menu, they do have endless fries. Here’s what the rest of my co-workers had to say about their food: Salmon with veggies. Their salmon was over cooked. They were unhappy. Lettuce wrap – Loved it. Chicken salad – delicious Salmon sandwich with BLT – Loved it Service – We were all unhappy with their service. I requested three different servers to bring our bill. Unfortunately, they were not paying attention to our needs to get the bill. And I could see there were several people waiting for table. I. Each time, the waitress said, let me bring your bill or call someone else. Are you serious? We waited for at least 15 minutes for our bill to arrive our table.

If you come here during the week day don't forget to arrive early before the lunch time otherwise you will sit at the bar or wait to be seated. . During lunch time it is crowded by state workers so beware. Also during summer don't come on thurs because of farmers market which parking would be more of a challenge. . Been here a few times and I had good experience each time. The last time I was here for is lunch time. We had a salmon feast. . Salmon chowder - the chowder had great flavor with fresh herbs as can see. The soup was creamy, my only suggestion is add a little more herbs to make it more flavorful. I believe just a cup of this would make a good meal during the cold season or if you feel under the weather. . Salmon sandwich with endless fries. Yes shut the front door with endless fries cuz you bet I did like 3 to 4 x order of fries lol. The sandwich was fresh, although the only complaint was the salmon was cooked well done and reminded me of like seared. Other wise it would have been perfect. . Special of the weekend or month, salmon over mash and brussel sprouts. This dish was fancy for lunch but it was filling and great flavors to it. Our table was raving about it. . Overall prices here is average ot 15 bucks and so. So if your on a budget think about it. But it worth it to splurge and enjoy a nice lunch here.
