Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop - Sacramento, CA — Restaurant in Sacramento

The food is amazing from all Mr. Pickles shops. However, this location has messed up our order a few times, so I’m going to call it a service issue, even though everyone is super nice. My fiancé and I order every couple weeks because he knows it’s my favorite. A month ago, his wheat baguette for the sandwich was really stale. He was upset, but no big deal. A couple weeks ago, I ordered a sourdough baguette for my sandwich and got Dutch crunch. The sourdough is my favorite part of Mr. Pickles sandwiches, so I was a little heartbroken, but it was an opportunity to try a new thing, so I was optimistic. I learned that I don’t like Dutch crunch, but I was glad I tried it. Then we ordered yesterday, and my fiancé was upset because his sandwich had very very little meat. I then opened my sandwich and they gave me Dutch crunch instead of sourdough again. And I’d ordered the Avocado sando and there was very very little avocado. Like, one half had absolutely no avocado except a tiny sliver (like 1/4 teaspoon) on the part where the sandwich is cut, and a couple small slices (maybe 1/2 tablespoon?) on the other half. We will not be ordering from this location again. We only order takeout once a week or less, so it sucks when we splurge and don’t get what we ordered. If we go to Mr. Pickles, it’ll be from a different location, like on the way back from the movies...

I went to pick up Uber order up they didn’t even have it ready then they said it’s going to be five more minutes so I came back 10 minutes later then They said they havent Even made it yet and the breads cooking so It took another 10 minutes 20 minutes total and they could’ve told me that from the very beginning I would of cancelled the order because I have three hot food item orders in my car already that sitting there getting cold for 20 minutes. This place is a joke and a bunch of liars. I try to explain to the guy that told me five minutes if he would’ve just been honest and told me it’s gonna take 20 then I could’ve just canceled it and he was rude with me and didn’t acknowledge what I said and said we’re busy bro we’re busy bro Really Little boy. You guys can’t even knowledge that telling somebody five minutes and it really took 20 minutes you guys can’t even acknowledge that that’s a problem. Serious. Who’s hiring these employees they had a dozen employees and they all move like turtles. He called me a hole. After expressing that it took five minutes and he should’ve told me it from the beginning and I would’ve canceled. He called me. A. A-hole. I hate the write this, but I will no longer be coming to Mr.Pickles. It's sad for the employees, but this is more so a review for the management - the self check out kiosks were a terrible call. They are horribly slow, and on top of already having to do what was previously a service provided (navigate the order menu to place order), they try to default an 18% tip into your order.

Sorry, but $17.80 for a turkey sandwich that I have to work through the computer to order and then go pour my own drink only to have a tip request defaulted into my order is silly. It isn't just "changing times and prices" because you can go down the street to Corti Bros and get a better sandwich for nearly half the price.

When the friendly staff used to take your order verbally in about 20 seconds, it was still expensive, but at least you felt like you weren't doing...
