So decided to do a little comparison on sub shops. Visited this Jimmy Johns today and i think i will stick to Subway. Dont get me wrong subs do have good flavor but for the price and value they need lots of work. The cashier i had to ask 3 times what he even said it was such a low mumble. So put my order in and before i turned around he hands me the sub over the counter (not even a bag) or mention of one. Diddnt see it made, no mention of any other toppings u could get. Just short and sweet. Lol At Subway they make it right in front and u go along with them as they ask you about other toppings. Now the value also isnt there. If you get the slim one for over $5 its meat bread and thats it. I mean your basically getting some bread. The original isnt much better. Too many choices to try and get a decent sub. This one has this much , this one is lighter on meat, people just want a good decent size sub without having to investigate every one they have. Subway you get a sandwich for a dinner. Jimmy Johns u get a snack seeing all of theirs are pretty much 8 inches.Compared to the slim ones i can get better value even for that money off a hot pocket. As for the help at this one, i know help isnt easy to come by these days, but training is a huge part of it.If i invested thousands of dollars to open my own shop i would have some serious oversight to provide some great service. These people now days invest in it, hire some help and a manager from who knows where and dont even realize how their store is run. I had to come in and finally said hi before he said anything to me. Anyone can open a shop and get some business off it off the name alone but only a business man can really make it successful. Sad there are so few around. Anyway for any parties or meals i will stick to Subway from now on. Great value compared to all this and just a all...
Read moreI get the Beach Club, extra turkey, no cheese, add pickles. The other day my order had extra cheese and very little turkey. No big deal, mistakes happen, as long as you make it right. I called to let them know what had happened. The lady offered to refund me the extra I paid for turkey since I couldn't come back in due to being on lunch. I explained that I just had to disect my sandwich and most of the avocado came off with the cheese. I asked if I could just be comped for the sandwich and make it right later. She calls her boss. The boss told her to refund but to tell me in the future just to get the Turkey Tom with changes made so it's easier and cheaper. With the Turkey Tom, I have to add Xtra Turkey, avocado, pickles, and cucumber. Thats 4 changes opposed to 3 and it costs the same with the added avocado cost. If you're going to blame the customer for a mistake, at least be right. The only reason I gave any stars is because of the great workers there. Shame on the owner for not being an effective business man. Put your ego away...
Read moreI recently ordered a gargantuan online at the Bay Road store in Saginaw Michigan. I ordered the sandwich as I always have with a cup of dressing on the side. I received my food and there was no dressing on the sandwich or on the side. I called the store and spoke with an associate and a manager. I told them what happened and they informed me that they no longer give items on the side. I asked why I wasn't called to come up with a solution before delivery, the manager said simply "They do not do things that way anymore!" I said that's fine, but what about the sandwich that's sitting in front of me that I already paid for. His answer was pretty much too bad so sad. This was all done in an "nobody cares" fashion. Because of how I was treated I will...
