You know the place is going downhill when the general managers wife is writing a 5 star review and the district leader who has most likely never eaten their is too. The only decent cook on after noon shift is leaving. So short staffed. Graveyard most likely won't have a cook. The AC in the back of the house is out, so staff is working in Hazardes conditions with tempatures hitting way over a hundred back their. Making the whole restraunt humid. So be patient their doing the best they can. Looks like half the staff are jumping ship from the rumors. Don't sit in the window booths or you'll get little black ants on you. Their harmless but a nusience. And be careful with some of the booth seats the holes are pretty big you may fall threw them. All the veggies are microwaved besides the melody mix. That's baked, stored in a big tub in the fridge, and cooked on the grill. Its good. Depending on who makes it and if the follow the instructions. Bacon is baked and then sits in a pan on the stove. Don't get the sausage. Scrambled eggs? Big ole bag of mix. If your going to get anything get the bourbon chicken skillet which has good flavor or the crazy spicy skillet. The bacon is the cheapest on the market it shows in the taste and quality unless you pay for the premium which is good but is a 1.00$ more per strip. Jake in the evenings is a pretty good cook. the only cook on evening shift now. Liz is an excellent server who is efficient. Wait times may be long but again very limited staff and definitely underpaid. But all that money they are saving "could be a new roof". Deffinitly no booth covers though or a new AC. All coke products which I personally like. No free refills on juices or milk. Extra ranch? That will cost you too. Ice cream is poor quality, go to Culver's for that. It'll be so melted your shake is milk or so hard it's impossible to put a spoon in it. Salad can be a hit or miss it depends if water or ice was added to "freshen" it up or if it's fresh out the bag. I never did understand why people did that it made the salad turn brown only a few hours later. Pancake puppies turn into a rock because they throw them into the microwave after frying because the oil is to dark to cook them properly. Avoid those. If your pancake is flat their is to much water in it or the batter is old. Burgers are hand pressed which are good. Avoid the garnish. That's hit or miss too. Lettuce may be wilted and turning, sometimes the onions are see through. But that's how they come in the bag. Tomatoes. Normally pretty squishy. Pickles are OK though. Friers are cleaned 1-2 times a week. Always ask when they were cleaned when you get the fried food. Other wise it will all look and taste burned or of oil. But it's cooked on a timer. Everything is pre portioned. The sizes of everything can't be controlled by the server or the cook they also don't make the prices. The front of the house floors are mopped once at late night so that's when the store is the cleanest or the worst depending on when you come in. The walls of the booth are rarely wiped down. Don't touch the walls. But the table is sanitized between most if not all guest depending on the server. Try not to get sat under a vent those a rarely are cleaned too and you may get dust on you. All that sticky stuff. It's normally spilt soda from earlier in the day. And if you need a manager she will most likely be on the line cooking because they have no one else so it could be a wait. If you have an issue and you ordered threw door dash or grub hub. You have to contact them. The hollandaise sause on the Benny by far the worst thing iv ever had in my life. It's microwaved and chunky texture is gross. Do not recommend. The bathroom gets trashed pretty easily and they don't get checked as often as they should, staffing issue. But if you run out of tp you can call the store and they will bring more unless you get to the call center... don't think that the dish washer doesn't bust their butt because of the bathrooms most of the time their doing dishes or prepping your food....
Read moreWe recently moved to the area and were so excited to try our new Denny's. The first time the service was great so we decided to go back again. The second time we decided to order their chicken tenders and noticed they were a little too chewy. We took a look at the chicken and saw they were completely raw. Not even cooked. We informed the manager and she decided to take that meal off the bill. When we were paying, the manager informed us that she was the one who made the chicken and she was deeply sorry. We wanted to give to one last shot because everyone deserves a second chance. Our initial meal was decent, but the main problem was the dessert. The service was disappointing because our waiter never came back to refill our water or check on us. When we ordered dessert, we could smell it being cooked. So we knew that they had to be coming. We ended up waited for 30+ minutes, and decided to just get up and pay for our meal. Because our waiter never came back. We went to speak to the manager, and the waiter finally came up to tell us that they had sold out of the dessert that we had order. That could not have been true because we could smell it being made. Even if it was true we wish we would have been informed of this when we ordered it so we would not have been sitting there wasting time. Will...
Read moreUpon arrival, the exterior of the building appeared clean and well maintained. Despite appearing to be rather busy, parking was effortless and proved problem free. Immediately greeted upon entry and seated in short order. Menu was overstuffed with endless options. Ordering was straight forward. I immediately asked for a replacement drink and sent my water glass back as it was disgusting, clearly filthy and never should have been served. Our food arrived in short order, within a decent time frame. The food arrived hot, fresh and delicious, exactly as ordered and without issue. Denny's has never impressed me with their culinary expertise and today's visit was as expected, good food, not bad but not great. Our server was excellent and made sure our drinks never ran dry. I truly appreciated the highly professional level of interaction we received. I often find that going into any Denny's location with zero expectations leads to zero disappointment, but this visit caught us off guard and seemingly fired successfully on all cylinders and in the end, we were...
