the shop is always filthy so I never eat in there. But today makes the 3rd time my order is screwed up, this time wrong sandwich totally. When I called, they said the manager was indisposed. Fine call me back. No call and he left with orders to credit me back for one of the two sandwiches. That's fine, but WHAT ABOUT MY LUNCH? I'm hungry, it is now 1:38 and the problem of NO LUNCH is not resolved. I am 6 blocks away, why can't they make a new one and deliver it???? And the manager is gone leaving a person with no authority to manage a disappointed HANGRY customer. No more. Never again. Not the first time, never a solution that is acceptable. If the money was important, that might be a solution but what do I eat at nearly 2pm for my lunch????? The picture below is not a cheese steak sandwich!

So we tried this place today after getting several recommendations from friends. We walked in at 20 to close and were told hey we are closing down and so we are only doing cold sandwiches. They had already turned off the grill and put up all the chairs. We were getting our subs to go. The guy at the counter was nice but the lady in there was obviously annoyed that we came in. She marched past us and yanked the chain on the open sign turning it off at 7 min till 8. Then they made my husband’s sandwich wrong he asked for no onions but there were tons. It was ruined. My sandwich the Bobbi was great in theory until I was stabbed by a giant bone spear. Yeah no thanks. This was a terrible experience. Your customers are not inconveniences, guys. Boo. Do better.

We’ve been longtime Capriotti’s goers. The Bobbie was our first introduction and honestly you need nothing more to bring you back. Thanksgiving in a sandwich in perfect proportions. It’s a little dream on a bun. We eventually branched out- the Slaw Be Jo was second favorite for a long while, but they changed their meat and the coleslaw wasn’t as great this time so I think we’re gonna pass on that one next time. Finally we tried their Philly cheese and I’ll tell you- we’ve had Philly cheese in Philly in places that claim to be the best in the country and honestly Capriotti’s is right there with them. Go and try the Philly cheese and the Bobbie and make sure you get a punch card cuz you’ll be thinking about those sandwiches long after you’ve eaten them.

Update 12-28-21: Well, once again, food is good but this is about service (again). I ordered a small Bobbie and was told that there was no cranberry (due to shortage) if that was OK. Since I was taking the sandwich home for lunch the next day at work, I was OK with no cranberry as I had cranberry at home and would just add it to the Bobbie. Disappointingly, what I found the next day when I went to add cranberry to my sandwich was a roll with some mayo, about 95% stuffing and VERY VERY LITTLE TURKEY inside. Isn't that the basis for Capriotti sandwiches....turkey? Prices go up but if there is no shortage for the main ingredient (turkey) then you should not be shorting your customers....not if you want to continue staying in business. 2022 will be a trying time for businesses and customers. Franchises and corporates need to focus on maintaining the customer base to keep their doors open. The cost of eating out is getting too expensive and, truthfully, Capriotti's product is not so unusual that folks can't make the same EXACT thing at home for a fraction of the cost and still eat well. And, given the fact that our economy is getting worse, businesses and their customers should really work together to help keep a business afloat because the current government doesn't care about the American businessman.

Food is always good. Unfortunately, this review is for service. No other patrons and their pepsi machine was out of drinks. Not all, but they were doing nothing to check their machine. Only one employee doing everything while all the others were hiding in the back, talking. Really ? Where's the...

I would give this restaurant negative stars if my review was only based on customer service. I walked into the shop today and stood at the counter being completely ignored for 3-5 minutes. One team member did eventually say “hi, we’ll be right with you,” but then I was left standing there for another few minutes. Eventually a girl came from the back to the counter to help me and she was very nice. Maybe she had left to go to the bathroom? That’s fine if she did, people have the right to use the bathroom at work, but there were three other team members who all should have acknowledged the customer as soon as I walked in the door. Instead of stepping up to fill the role of the absent team member (the girl who may have gone to the bathroom) they all just let me stand there. It was awkward and annoying and frustrating because I was in a hurry. I also ordered online And my food was ready so if any of them had spoken to me they could have helped me in less than a few seconds.

That being said, I ordered a pastrami and a beef with slaw For my husband and I to share and we both agree they were some of the best sandwiches we have ever had. There wasn’t one thing wrong or that could have been improved with either of the sandwiches. I’d give this place a thousand stars if my review was only based on the food.

Customer service is so important! We are coming into your store to buy from you and support your business. That deserves at minimum common courtesy and even the greeter at Walmart says hello when I walk...

While I can't say the place is quite perfect, I can say it's a great option at a fair price. From the impression's I've had from others, it seems like this place has a sandwich for everyone, but a single person won't like their entire menu, and that's okay. I have personally enjoyed the fact that my wife loves this place. She has never been a big fan of sandwich places in general, which has led her love for Capriotti's to become a pleasant surprise. I of course also love their sandwiches. Every time so far, they've been packed with ingredients, barely being able to fit around my hands. The amount of sauce they put into these things keeps any hint of dryness left to the outer toasty shell of the bread. Honestly, the quality of these sandwiches leave me with only good thoughts about the staff preparing them. These look and taste like Capriotti's cares. Customer service is pretty average for the most part, but brief exchanges make for that. Honestly, not having bad employees is all I care about, and this place has good staff. Professional, accurate, and prompt attitudes make for a quick and clean approach which I respect. Addendum: I originally believed this location to be dark and dreary, but upon my latest visit I've noticed a sharp improvement to the atmosphere. Things seem strategically placed around the location in a way to minimize the risk of bumping against anything, and while some of the furniture is worn down, I can hardly fault the...
