It is officially open as of 4/15!! Totally blown away by this spot! I came in with no knowledge of what they offered and was so impressed! It's like a diner/sandwich/fast casual spot mixed with a southern spice and flare. Lots of great sandwiches, burgers, fries, po-boys, etc... There's still lots of stuff on the menu I need to try and I'll definitely be back. I ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was probably one of the best buffalo chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Crispy, but the chicken was juicy. The spicy sauce had a good buffalo warmth spice, but not too much and mixed perfectly with the lettuce, tomatoes, purple onions and the blue cheese. It does come with quite a bit of blue cheese and so just a heads up there if you don't like that. I did feel like it helped to cut down the acidity of the buffalo sauce and brought in a zing and creaminess to bind together the overall sandwich. It's messy but so, so good. It did take a bit longer to get my to-go order but I'm actually totally good with it if it means the quality is like that every time. The bun on the sandwich was top notch too! I did get a side of the beer-battered fries and those 100%! Definitely get those with their Chubby's Sauce. It's an elevated honey-mustard sauce with a southern twang and sourness. Finger lickin' good sauce! Definitely a highlight as well. Good beer-battered fries are hard to find so this was a treat! I did also get a side of coleslaw (always a sucker to try a new coleslaw) and it was so-so. Nothing special about it. It was creamy, acidic but seemed like a traditional, normal cabbage coleslaw. It did have some celery seeds sprinkled in, but other than that it was pretty basic. They do have some in-house hot sauces to try (another thing I'm a sucker for) and the jalapeño sauce was amazing! Added a smoky, medium level spicy and flavor to the sandwich and fries. The restaurant was super clean. Great service. I was glad to see quite a bit of people there during lunch hours. Price was mid-range. I think my chicken sandwich was $10 but it was really big and the fries for the portion and cost of $3.49 was a pretty good bargain. You gotta check this place out if you want a solid burger or sandwich, some great fries, and a good chill vibe. The business calls itself a neighborhood Cafe and I couldn't agree with that description more! It felt friendly, local (not corporate) and the service was great. Excited to see this addition here! I think aside from the service and quality, the niche this brand carves out compared to the other sandwich/burger shops is there is bigger variety of options but it has all the classic Cafe/diner options. It nailed the sandwich and fries I got, so I'm excited to come back and try some more food!

Chubby’s Cafe in St. George is always a treat. Their beer-battered fries are perfection, crispy every time. While they’re famous for their burgers, I somehow always gravitate to the buffalo tenders, this time the spicy five-piece, though the sweet version with a little kick is also a winner.

We showed up just before 6:00 p.m. and ordered without a wait. But by the time our food came out, the line had wrapped through the whole restaurant. Pro tip: arrive before 6:00 if you want food quickly, otherwise bring a chair, a good book, or possibly camping gear.

Now, about this visit: after finishing my meal, I got back in line to grab a burger for my wife (nursing a migraine back at the hotel). That’s when I discovered that in St. George, line etiquette is apparently more of a suggestion than a rule. A couple ahead of me generously allowed about ten of their friends to cut in front, multiplying the line like loaves and fishes, but with slightly less holiness. Then another couple wandered up, saw the crowd, and just sort of… grafted themselves into the line like a long-lost cousin at Thanksgiving dinner.

When we got close to the register, one of the line-cutting MVPs actually turned to the original couple and said, “You go ahead of us since you were in line first.” I nearly lost it. I wanted to say, “Actually, there were about twenty of us behind you who were in line before you. But sure, go ahead, math’s not for everyone.”

To be clear, this is no fault of Chubby’s, the food and staff were awesome as always. Just a friendly PSA: if you visit during the dinner rush, watch out for St. George’s Olympic...

I have to give a shout out for Chubby's Cafe! We went in last night and had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere was beyond expectations, it was quiet enough to have a conversation, and the food was exceptionally tasty! I ordered the habanero mango chicken sandwich and my wife ordered the blue cheeseburger with beer battered fries and coleslaw and scones. I was a little skeptical about the coleslaw, so the owner dished up a small serving for me to taste before I committed to purchasing, which I thought was super awesome of him! I ended up getting it because of how good it was. All food was very tasty, warm and to be honest, the pricing was very reasonable. And a shout out to his young staff! They were all very friendly and very helpful and you could tell that they actually liked working there! We had gone to a new establishment in town a couple of weeks ago that will remain unmentionable, however it was located over by The Dixie Center, and our experience here at Chubby's was tenfold better! If you're wanting a modern Cafe experience with modern savory American food that is not going to break the bank, you need to head over to Chubby's, right next to Hurst Ace Hardware on Bluff street! This is the place dine at! We will be...
