Neilsons Custard is nothing short of a delight for the senses. Nestled in the heart of the city, this charming ice cream shop offers an enchanting escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the irresistible aroma of fresh custard and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home.

The star of the show at Neilsons is, of course, their custard. Silky, smooth, and bursting with flavor, every spoonful is a testament to their commitment to quality and excellence. Whether you opt for classic vanilla or indulge in one of their innovative seasonal flavors, each bite is a creamy dream come true. Their dedication to using the finest ingredients is evident, and it elevates their custard to a whole new level of deliciousness.

What truly sets Neilsons Custard apart, though, is their exceptional customer service. The staff are not only friendly and knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about what they do. They go above and beyond to ensure every visit is a memorable one, offering personalized recommendations and making you feel like a valued part of the Neilsons family. It's this kind of heartfelt service that keeps customers coming back time and time again.

From fresh fruit and crunchy nuts to gooey caramel and rich chocolate sauce, the possibilities are endless, and every combination is a winner. The attention to detail in every aspect of their offerings is truly impressive.

In summary, Neilsons Custard is a must-visit for any ice cream lover. With its top-notch custard, outstanding customer service, and inviting atmosphere, it's no wonder this shop has earned a well-deserved five-star rating. I never thought I’d be writing a 1 star review for Nielsen’s FC. YET HERE. WE. ARE.

So I grew up in Bountiful going to the Nielsen's down the street. The owner lived not far from us. I've loved going to Nielsen's for cookie dough concretes for years. I've prob been over 200 times during the course of my life. But tonight was my last.

I showed up tonight (March 6th) eager to get one of their cookie dough concretes again. When I got the concrete after a bit of a wait, there was essentially no cookie dough in it. I couldn't find it anywhere. Basically a $6 vanilla ice cream.

My wife went up and asked the manager if he could just give us some cookie dough since there wasn't any in there, and he told her it'd be an extra dollar!! A DOLLAR! Decades of being a loyal customer and they can't give a few bits of cookie dough?!

I couldn't believe it so I went up myself and asked him to clarify. I showed him the concrete and dug around to prove I wasn't joking. He kept insisting it'd be a dollar. I told him I've been coming here for 20+ years and never had a concrete with no cookie dough, that this wasn't acceptable and he didn't budge. I was really disgusted at how I was treated and won't be coming back here anytime soon!

To the managers of Nielsen's - please treat your customers better. This was a very frustrating and def a TASTELESS experience. To the owners - please instill in your employees and managers the need to treat your customers with more respect and better...

Customer Service: 8/10 Nielsen’s is almost always pretty busy, but the employees are helpful and efficient. We called ahead to order, because their dine-in was closed when we went. You can order at their take-out window, but we would definitely recommend calling ahead to order. Our order was ready right when we got there.

Menu: 8/10 For a frozen custard place, they’ve got a great variety of options. You can get cones, floats, sundaes, and take home pints or quarts, but we definitely recommend trying one of their concretes.

Environment: 7/10 Because it’s a busy place, it’s not the best place to go to if you’re trying to social distance right now. That’s why we would recommend calling ahead! Even when dine-in is open it’s generally pretty packed, but the outdoor seating is nice.

Taste: 9/10 Everything we have tried at Nielsen’s is delicious. Their frozen custard is so thick, smooth and creamy. This ALWAYS hits the spot on a hot summer day. If you like nuts, we love their Caramel Cashew concrete!

Price: 8/10 Their concretes are $5+, but it’s a lot of ice cream! You can definitely eat it all in one sitting because it’s so yummy, but we normally have leftovers for a day or two! For high quality custard everything is priced...

The service here was great! We showed up just a few minutes before close and they were super warm and friendly. The cashier lady was super helpful since it was our first time, and the window washer was very cordial as well. They lost one star for charging for water… I hate places that do that. It’s 90 degrees out at 10:45 pm, we walked from our place to get this so-called legendary ice cream.., don’t make me pay for a small cup of water. Especially since you’re charging 6$ for a small custard! And that’s my other complaint. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough concrete, and there was a very disgruntling amount of cookie dough in it :( 6.38 for vanilla custard and a couple pieces of cookie dough. And it would have been something if the custard was like, earth shattering, but it was pretty plain. Nothing exciting. We probably won’t come here again. I saw another review that said “white people stuff” and I 100% agree. The place was pretty packed despite us being there right before close. Obviously a very popular spot. Seems like a good high school hangout.

Wow!!! Ice cream ( frozen custard) so good !! But customer service is terrible!!! We wanted ask who is cashier name!! We was there around 8:30 and cashier She was chewing gum and didn’t say Hi! She face is full of anger annoying face. and we was first time we don’t know how can we order And she didn’t any explain cone or cup what’s the flavor. And still chewing gum. And whats the concrete ice cream ? And something? And we don’t understand what she saying because chewing gum and speak too fast and hard to understand accent. I wanted call manager and ask about how to training cashiers or customer service! But next time… I will come back again because ice cream was good. But if you guys doing again like that I will ask name and manager or owner.

The custard was fine. The service and overall experience was poor. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough concrete and when it came out, there was no cookie dough in it. I showed the cashier and she said it would be a dollar extra for cookie dough. I showed her my receipt that I paid for a cookie dough concrete and she asked the manager what to do. The manager offered to remake it which would have been acceptable but I just asked for a cup of cookie dough to mix in myself instead of wasting it. The kids who were working were being a little bit obnoxious as well. Also, an older gentlemen asked for a cup of water and was told that it costs 20 cents. Who charges for a cup of water?
