Super 8 by Wyndham St. George UT — Hotel in Saint George

This is the first one star review that I have ever given, and in the 50-60 2 star motels/hotels/hostels that I've stayed at while traveling over the past decade or so, that's really saying something. But people need to know before spending money here. The check in went smoothly enough. After getting my room key, I walk out to go to my car and get my luggage before bringing my stuff up to my room. After that, I would pull the car around before getting ready to walk to the nearest fast food place like I always do.

I don't even make it ten steps out the door before the rude and unprofessional desk clerk chases me down and starts yelling at me for a minute straight for not following "his directions" for where to go. I tell him I just need to get my stuff first, but he doesn't care and keeps at it until I wave him off and start ignoring him. I checked to see if he was still following me as I was heading up the stairs and thankfully he wasn't. If he was, I would have completely lost it.

Once in the room later that night, things return to normal, at least for a little while. I discover the hardwood floors have never been moped. After walking back and forth a few times the soles of my feet are completely black. In the middle of the night, the smell of rotten eggs starts permeating the room as the A/C struggles to cool down the room to a comfortable temperature. The smell seems to be coming from the sink, but who knows really.

Finally, on the morning of checkout, a swarm of gnats got into the room through a large gap in the door that is the result of shoddy workmanship. Must have been the smell. If you crouch down, you can see daylight as peoples feet are walking past. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I'd give it 0/5...

1st problem: Walked into the room and was smacked across the face with a stale smoke smell. I thought the room was non smoking! No problem, I thought! I pulled out the fabrize. The smell is so bad in here the fabrize did not work. 2nd problem: looking at the bed for bedbugs, I noticed the mattress is in horrible condition. The fabric around the mattress is unstitched and the coils are all poking out. No problem I thought. It still looks comfortable enough to. The bed is so soft that my back hurts every time I move. Horrible nights sleep. Every time I move, it wiggles the entire bed and wakes my husband. 3rd problem: they changed the wifi password from what it was last night. SO if you plan on doing anything on your computer the next morning, you get to go to the office to get the new password. There is no phone in the room to contact them. 4th problem: the mini fridge must be the first edition that came out 40 years ago. It made such a horrible noise, we could not fall sleep. We had to unplug it. It still made noises for 20 minutes. The coils inside had to quit popping. 5th problem: the pillows are horrible! They are old and lumpy. There was not enough. If you are staying here bring your own pillows!

Each problem by themselves would be no problem. Added up, I had to make a comment here. I have booked another night here in a few nights on my trip home. I hope I can cancel it! I am willing to pay 2xs as much to not stay here. I guess it is true, you get what...

This happened awhile back but I am still angry .We went to Motel first off the pictures are not what they seem on the website. I had mentioned when we booked this room by phone .I am allergic to smoke and that I needed handicapped room. On paper and by phone.

We get there they give us our key room has got terrible smoke smell looked filthy and not a handicapped room. We go down right away complain . They also stated they would take that room off our bill. They change the room. But sheets hadn't been changed. So I requested sheets and had to make my own bed. We actually saw someone in our old room where the smoke was they rented it out as hubby was going to get our things.

We checked out following day and found another hotel .

Then statement comes in the mail we find they billed us for two rooms that same night We call hotel they tell us to call corporate. Corporate lady cussing and yelled on the phone at us .I even had proof of confirmation it was suppose to be handicap room starring no smoking .Then we call hotel to confirm.

She didn't care they said if I didn't stay in other room and the other room was rented out.

So basically I got ripped off by this motel big time They got paid for the dirty Smokey room twice.

Run don't walk away from this motel and watch your credit card statements if you do stay. They stole from our card when we stayed.

You know try comfort in it was cheaper and lots nicer stay Better...
