BURGER MOE’S
9/13/2024 - We held our golf banquet here for 40 people, and it was a smashing success. Let me list all the good things about this place: They could accommodate our group of 40 both inside and outside. They provide free parking to their guests. Each of us could order individually off of their menu. They billed each of us separately. There is something for everyone on the menu, including vegetarians.
They set our group up on the patio, which is beautiful. We had our social hour on the patio and all ordered our meals. Shortly thereafter, they informed us that rain was on the way. They had already set our group up inside with the same table layout and had us move before our meals arrived. They only asked that we sit with the same people inside so they would know where the food was going. Their staff is absolutely outstanding. Not only do they know their service but they were all very outgoing and friendly. I believe they had us all served with our individual meals within ten minutes. Kudos to their chef(s) and staff!
Moe’s also provides “free” parking to its guests, which is unheard of in a downtown area. It made it so easy for us gals.
Do you know a single restaurant that will let everyone order off the menu and pay individually for a banquet? I certainly don’t. What a pleasure this was! Everyone ordered exactly what they wanted and were able to pay for their own meal. Every restaurant I’ve gone to for a banquet has two main items, and everyone has to eat those two things, along with the sides they provide. It was so much nicer to order your own meal.
Their patio is expansive and simply beautiful. They sprayed for hornets before we came, which made the patio much more enjoyable. It can be very hard to eat outside in MN in September with the hornets (wouldn’t it be great if every outdoor dining place could encapsulate their patios in a huge net in the month of September to keep those hornets at bay. Wishful thinking on my part.)
Burger Moe’s has a huge list of beers along with a smaller list of wine and cocktails. Their menu has something for everyone - including vegetarians. I did not hear a single complaint about the restaurant, food or drinks.
You don’t need to be having a banquet to enjoy Burger Moe’s. My hubby and I frequent the patio for lunch many times during the summer. Don’t miss out...
Read moreLet's start it off positive. My server was great, like really good. The French fries were really good too, but I didn't go to French Fri Moe's. I ordered the Classic Moe which has garlic aioli, grilled onions and cheddar cooked medium. The first few bites were ok, it was obvious that they cooked it well done. Could be an honest mistake and at that point it was tasty the aioli really carried more than its weight. Third bite though I ended up with a mouthful of molten grilled onion, it literally burned my tongue. It was confusing so I took the bottom bun off to see that the burger patty had broken up when the were cooking it, and when they put the grilled onions on it split more and made a pocket of them, not good. I was hungry though and I figured I could just eat around that. As I continued I noticed the flavor was going away, at about three bites I checked the bun and it was dry, they only had the aioli on one side, and it was gone now. I could also tell the burger was not seasoned at all, not even a pinch of salt. Here is where I gave up, a little more than half way in and I had lost my appetite, as the burger lost all its flavor. I had been served an over cooked, inconsiderably plated, under sauced, and not seasoned burger. At $13.50 that's inexcusable.
When the server came up with my check she asked if I wanted a to go box, and I declined. She then asked if everything was ok, and I told her everything, she didn't seem surprised at all. She took it and said she was going to talk to the kitchen. Mind you I was not asking for anything, but I was curious to see if the manager was going to do anything at all, because clearly they were failing at quality control. The manager never came, the check was not discounted, nothing. Again I did not ask for a manger or a discount, but you would figure if the manager cared at all they would have at least come over to apologize. It seems like Burger Moe's is more concerned with being a bar than a restaurant, which is weird because they chose to call themselves Burger Moe's! The only thing that would make me even consider going back would be how good the server was, unfortunately with the food and management I don't think that will...
Read moreI placed an online order from Burger Moe’s on Monday, June 16 for my family while we were at United Hospital with my mom who was in comfort care. I have a severe (anaphylactic) peanut allergy and noted in the special instructions for my Oreo shake “peanut allergy”. I picked up the food from the restaurant and brought it back to the hospital room. The Oreo shake had a receipt taped to it that said “Oreo, peanut allergy” (I have a picture of the receipt). I took one sip of the shake and immediately realized this is a Oreo and peanut butter shake. This instantly put me in an allergic reaction and I had to be admitted to the ER and treated for the reaction. I understand that cross contamination can happen, however your restaurant made a complete shake out of the one ingredient I asked you not to put in my food. Had I consumed this shake outside of the hospital, this could have cost me my life from the amount of peanut butter that was in my shake. After being discharge, I sent an email to Burger Moe’s explaining the situation and asked for a refund. The next day I called the restaurant to make sure they were aware of the situation and was told I would be hearing back from their office manger who is only in on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays (still haven’t heard anything). Having been admitted to the ER took precious time away from me being with my mom who has now passed. This put my life at risk and caused additional stress on me and my family on top of an already difficult situation. I also now have ER bills that I have to pay from this visit. I am also still waiting for my call...
