Got the Dubai waffle with gelato (why is everything Dubai? Just say pistachio and chocolate). It's good. Really good. So good and so rich, that I am tapped out on desserts for the next month straight. After eating the waffle, I went for a 5 mile swim against the ocean currents. Afterwards, I lifted weights for 3 hours straight. I've been putting in 2 a day training sessions for the last 5 days so I can burn off half the calories I consumed from that one waffle. I haven't eaten since then and I've felt no hunger. I expect I won't have a need for calories for the rest of the month. They should start a side business where they export these to starving villages in Africa. You could feed a medium size village for half year with one Dubai waffle. I brought a waffle to the oncology floor at the local hospital. Each patient had one bite and they all regained 25 lbs of weight they lost battling cancer. One gram of uranium has the equivalent of 20 billion calories.... All I'm saying is, we could use 5 of these waffles to power a nuclear...
Read moreWe use to love this place for a great gluten free crepe, but something has changed as they offer the gluten free batter, but these are definitely not gluten free. When I asked about it as I watched them pull the wooden turner out of the gluten contaminated water and turn my gluten free crepe, I was told this is how they make the gluten free crepes. They did make a new one, but only made small adjustments. Griddle was wiped down with a paper towel, oil mop was still shared with the gluten crepes, the wooden turner was lightly rinsed but the same spatula was still used on both types of crepes. Everyone was friendly, but when addressed, only small changes were made. I ended up putting it in a box as I can’t risk that. What a waste of money. If you offer gluten free, please make sure they are gluten free. If you just have it for lifestyle choices, it should be noted on the menu that they are nowhere near...
Read moreAte some truly delicious food at this amazing place. Had the Savory Nordic Crepe filled with delectable smoked salmon, dill sour cream, capers, red onion and topped with spring salad mix. We also had the savory Breakfast Crepe filled with cheese, eggs, ham, mushrooms and onions. And cannot forget about the tasty Nutella Latte for our beverage. Both crepes were so big that we took half home for a delightful breakfast the next day. The place is small with only a handful of tables, but definitely worth the food experience. Update: had another delicious crepe- this was a sweet one with Nutella, bananas and strawberries. Absolutely fantastic. This time I ate the whole crepe 😋...
