Wow wow wow, if you’ve never had fresh made (right in front of you) pasta, run, don’t walk, as fast as you can down to Dal Moro’s Fresh Pasta. They are on Central Ave in downtown St. Pete Fl, and the first of its kind in N America, with roots coming from Venice Italy.
When you walk in to the cute little restaurant, you see fresh pasta being made right there, as you’re being greeted by some of the cutest, friendliest, and helpful staff. They helped me pick toppings and combinations that were made perfectly and beyond delicious. Their customer service was hands down the best. The amount of choices for different combos (fresh pastas and homemade sauces with choice of toppings), can have you eating something new and different every time you stop by. They make all the sauces daily in house and you can definitely taste the freshness and quality.
Fresh pasta needs to be eaten right away, so their convenient portable pasta boxes make it easy to enjoy the second they hand it to you. Take my word for it, do not close the box (there’s even a message about it on the box), just eat and enjoy the absolute freshness. When I seen the boxes, I was a bit concerned whether the sauce would reach the bottom, but I was happily and satisfactorily pleased to see that every noodle was super sauced all the way to the last delicious bite.
And then when you think it can’t get any better with such a welcoming caring staff, and the most delicious fresh pasta with homemade Italian recipe sauces, you slap us with your homemade tiramisu. It’s so smooth and tastes like I was at a dessert cafe in Italy. Sooo good. Icing on the cake to a wonderful experience of something new and innovating.
We already can’t wait to go back and try even more amazing combinations. You’ve ruined me Dal Moro’s, officially hooked to fresh pasta (what even is that boxed dried stuff, lol), and you’re an hour away. Overall experience 10 out of 10. Bravo and congratulations, so happy you are here/open and I wish you nothing but tremendous success!! See you...
Read moreMy guy and I went for lunch. We were pleasantly greeted upon entering the establishment. Being it was our first time, the server explained the ordering process, the most popular sauces and what sauces people often combine. The daily choice of pasta was rigatoni or spaghetti. Add on toppings include bacon ($1.50), chicken ($1.50), mushrooms ($1), black olives ($1) fresh mozzarella ($1). At no additional charge, there is fresh Parmigiano, chili flakes, garlic powder available.
I ordered Amatriciana (meat sauce with fresh tomato sauce, smoked pancetta, onion & black pepper) with fresh rigatoni. It was a surprise to see the oversized "Chinese take-out style" container be brought out. But no worries, the pasta was al dente and served with the perfect sauce-to-pasta ratio. And very delicious. I requested Pelligrino mineral water with my lunch.
Bolognese (ground meat and tomato sauce) and mushrooms with spaghetti was ordered by my guy. He said it the correct amount of sauce and that he liked it. But the Amatriciana was the true star. Portions are generous and we had enough for a light dinner at home later.
We shared the creamy Tiramisu and it was the right amount for the two of us.
We enjoyed eating at the wall bar and chatting with the employees who came out to talk.
SAUCES *Napolitano (vegan with tomato sauce, oregano, black pepper, fresh basil) $8.50 *Casio e Pepe (white cream sauce, pecorini & black pepper) ($11.50) *Pesto (basil, pine nuts, olive oil, Parmigiano) $9.50 *Boscaiola (vegetarian with white cream sauce, mushrooms, Parmigiano & pepper) $10.50 Amatriciana and Bolognese $11.50 each
This was an unique dining concept and a pleasurable experience.
Parking was easy. We used the ParkMobile app - two hours was only $2.35. We had enough time to eat, peruse the nearby shops and stop for an...
Read moreDelmoro opened today in downtown St. Pete, and my impressively out of my league girlfriend said she wanted to try it out. Me, being an intelligent human, decided that the most logical thing to do would be to bring her there for dinner. The place is quaint, but there was a steady stream of people who were there to try the new spot. The menu above the counter illuminated the choose your own food adventure that was our dining experience. I chose the spaghetti with a meat sauce I couldn’t pronounce (or spell now even if I tried, but it was the number 3 if anyone is interested), and the girl who is disproportionately attractive to me ordered the fusilli with bolognese. We both added on bacon, because we understand the importance of porcine abdominal based meats in pasta. They had just run out of tiramisu, but I casually dropped that I heard it was non alcoholic and I hadn’t tried tiramisu in 6.5 years due to my sobriety. The wonderful saint of a man behind the counter found one for me because he said I had to try it. He was correct. The tira flavor sprung from the misu like fireworks on Fourth of July, and it tasted like freedom. The pasta did not take long to come out after we finished the tiramisu (because we don’t have to live by society’s standard of having dessert after dinner. We are rebels). The first bite shot me back to when I was a child and there were no problems in the world and my parents loved me and I wasn’t crippled with burdensome college and medical debt. My exceptionally beautiful date had tears well up in her eyes as the spiral shaped nuggets of goodness meted on her tongue, and said it reminded her of the food her Itallian grandmother used to make for her as a child. . They say you can’t go home again; but whoever said that has never been to Delmoro.
I can’t wait to...
