I would have otherwise given 5 stars, if it weren't for one questionable dish that was given to me. My total order was Yaki Udon, Fried Calamari, Steamed Rice, and Mochi Ice Cream as a sample of particular items on the menu.
It was curious why the Yaki Udon came out with a pool of sauce at the bottom almost as if it was a soup and not stir-fried (Yaki Udon is not served as a soup, it is served as a stir fried dish), with large red and green bellpepper, and onion slices. The large size of these add-ons appeared to compensate for less noodles used to make it appear as if it were normal. I wouldn't mind waiting longer if it meant recieving an accurately cooked dish. To those who are unsuspecting and do not know, this would appear that way as normal. I suppose the cooks must understand the noodles traditionally make up the bulk of this dish, not the add-ons.
I would still overall recommend this to someone as one of the places to go in...
Read moreI wish I could write a better review, but my experience as a first time visitor to this restaurant wasn’t that great unfortunately. I have been to many hibachi places in several states and this one is the first one that I had to wait 45 minutes until my food came out, after the rest of my family was already done eating.
I asked specifically at the time of booking of the reservation, if it is ok to order sushi at the hibachi table, as my family members wanted to get the hibachi experience and I wanted sushi. After 45 minutes and when all guest at the hibachi table were already done eating, I finally got my sushi (nothing special, just salmon roles). When I asked the waitress why it took so long, she replied that we should have chosen to sit at a dining table instead of the hibachi table.
I fail to see why my sushi order should get delayed because we sit at the hibachi table. Our whole party got their order taken at the same time, so why would it matter where we sit. I get the impression that they are trying to discourage anyone from ordering other food at the hibachi table, even though their house rules require that only 2 people from a party need to order hibachi.
If we would follow the waitresses’ advice, we would have to split up as a family next time, just so we can all enjoy good food in a timely manner, which is ridiculous and poor hospitality.
Therefore, I would not recommend going to this place if not all family members are planning to...
Read moreThe hibachi side was definitely 5 stars. The staff were amazing and the food was fantastic and fresh. It was also entertaining to watch them cook the food and do some tricks. They were also really good with kids. I would definitely recommend the hibachi side here and go again. If you're lucky, people around you end up talking to you and you get to meet new people and have fun socializing. It was pretty expensive but definitely worth what you pay for because it's a lot of food.
The dinning side however is definitely NOT worth it. It's the same price as the hibachi side but you get less food and it does not taste the same. The rice tasted as if it was sitting for a long time with no seasonings or flavor. Not even adding sauce helped change it. The food was also cold and I noticed I only got 4 bites of the steak I ordered...there was no way that was the whole steak. It felt as if I was being served last nights leftovers that needed to get used up. Dinning side was an extreme disappointment to me and a waste of my time and money. I'm sticking to the hibachi side...
