I am a local here in Salem, Massachusetts and this painās me to make this review. I have been visiting front Street for the better part of 6 years Whenever I have the chance. I would always get the biggest sandwiches, particularly the mission one sandwich. Usually, I could only finish a half. Recently front Street coffee was purchased and replaced the previous owners. This has resulted in their customer service, their food, and their reputation to take a hit. Letās start off with the customer service. The woman who rang me up was very nice. The woman working the sandwiches was a completely different story. You could tell she was agitated with what she doing And was putting it on full display for everybody to see. I ordered a mission one sandwich with multigrain bread. After a boat 15 minutes of waiting for my sandwich, I was told that there is no more multigrain bread and they only have Scali bread left, which is fine. Another 10 minutes went by and I received my sandwich after a total of 25 minutes. I noticed right away that the bag was a complete mess, but I went along with my walk back home. Once I got back to where I could eat my sandwich I opened it up and to my dismay is a sandwich about the size of my palm. This is not the mission one that I remember, and it was two dollars more expensive with no pickle.
I just wanted to bring this up to everybody that decides to go eat there that this place used to be so much better. They shrunk everything and raised the prices. This is not the front street that I remember And itās a shame. Please be cautious when going here as you will not get your value any longer sadly.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in yesterday as me and my partner are visiting a coffee shop for every day of our trip. Across 5 states this was the worst one 1. to order in person, you need to use steps outside and inside the establishment- which isnāt stroller friendly/ no ramps 2. almost every single female worker was exceptionally rude (and in your face rude/ didnāt hide it) 3. They recommended we order a specialty tea/lemonade. Once we ordered it & paid with card, they realized they didnāt have the ingredients to make itš We asked for a refund and they claimed they didnāt know how to refund it and āwe think we voided itā (we still havenāt got the refund) 4. i ordered a ālarge iced coffee extra creamer with shots of cookie dough and cookie butterā the drink i received was basically all creamer and no flavor. i literally had to bring it back up and say there was zero flavor. the girl had the audacity to tell me itās because i asked for extra creamer and didnt shake itš i watched her pour the syrup in and after tasting it, iām positive they didnāt add any to begin with, bc the flavor made a world of difference 5. the workers started complaining that they hate when people order drinks that arenāt āsimpleā and that āof course itās not gonna taste goodā if you order a ābanana cream chai cookie latteā bc itās not simple? No hun there was just zero flavor in itš 6. the sandwhich i ordered WAS good. the nice male cook made it. but they did forget the pickle they THEY asked me if i wantedš They need to keep in mind many people that come in are tired and hungry travelers looking to spend money on...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm in town for Halloween weekend. I went to Dunkin Donuts for a coffee, it was the first coffee place I'd seen after dinner. Their bathroom was out of order. I had to go to the restroom extremely bad. Came across Front Street, looked inside and the lights were still on and the door was unlocked, I think it was around 5:20ish on Sunday. I walked in and asked immediately if I could use their restroom. I knew since I wasn't a paying customer they may say no so I explained the Dunkin situation. There was about 5 employees behind the counter. They told me that they closed 20 minutes ago, so I quickly apologized, and one girl started to direct me to the restroom. We were rudely interupped by a woman in her mid 30s-early 40s, who told me " No. We closed 20 minutes ago. I don't want to clean the restroom again."........ Uh, okay, you could have just told me sorry, we closed up already, and I would have understood. I then said "okay", turned to leave, then turned around and told the woman she was rude for saying that. It's been my dream since I was a little girl to come to Salem for Halloween. And people, (businesses) can make huge first impressions. I'm probably not the first person to come to Salem on Halloween weekend for their first time. Front Street should really evaluate who they have as the face of their business. I will not recommend this place to anyone who wants hospitality or good...
