Mainstay Social — Restaurant in Salem

This restaurant is by far one of the best and most underrated places in Salem. We have come here 3 years in a row and each time the food/drinks/service have been outstanding. The food is consistently good and we have had several items off the menu, the drinks are mixed perfectly and the service from everyone is exemplary. We had the pleasure of having Sal and Brooke this trip and they were both very attentive, informative, friendly, and honestly just amazing. The food and drinks are truly unrivaled in town. My husband says the fish and chips are some of the best he has ever had and the fish tacos I had were some of the best I have ever had. If you need a meal modified (which I have had to do) they will be happy to work with you in any way they are able to. The patio is the perfect place to enjoy your meal and drinks and have a great time with those you are with. It is surprisingly very quiet and very relaxing, especially in the evenings and taking in the sunset.

While staying at the Salem Waterfront Hotel, we decided to have dinner and drinks with our family. While the reviews were good, we set our expectations low for a restaurant attached to a hotel - and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and the drinks creative and refreshing.
