We were very excited for this restaurant, as we love Mediterranean and Jamaican food. Unfortunately, this was the biggest let down. The lemon orzo soup is not lemon orzo soup, and has quite a peculiar taste and smell, it was inedible to anyone in our family.. not sure what to even say about it. We ordered Jamaican curry and recieved jerk chicken, which, was not terrible because its quite a sinple dish of rice and chicken, but nothing we would ever order again or seek out. The grape leaves stuffing was good but the grape leaf itself almost has a plastic smell and taste to it. Babaganoush just tastes plain strange & soggy.. hummus was fine. The fattoush was soggy (they should put the dresssing on the side)orherwise it was nothing special anyway. We paid for side of hot sauce we also did not recieve. Overall, we felt it was a complete waste of money (which ordering out is a privilege for alot of families right now) and will not be ordering again.. Not even worth a second shot for my family, and were still hungry and...
Read moreStopped in for lunch yesterday. My girlfriend has several dietary restrictions, so finding a place to eat can be a challenge sometimes. We saw Ray Adea’s in a quick Google search and decided to try it out.
The food was fantastic. The menu seemed to have plenty of options for people with various dietary needs. The serving could have been a little bigger, but the quality more than made up for it. I had the felafel which was absolutely delicious and the pita bread which was included was fluffy and amazing.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was that of your typical family-owned take-out joint, but everything seemed clean and well kept.
I was most impressed by the fact that they had a sign in the window stating that if you are hungry and in need, to come in and a cup of soup will be provided, no questions asked. Any small business that gives back to their community is A+ in my book.
I was very happy to support these folks and will definitely eat there again next time...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came in a sleet storm five minutes before they closed. The employees were ready to lock up and go home but instead allowed us to order food. We were not rushed, and the employees were very warm and welcoming. The menu was an interesting take on mediterranean fare with daily changing specials and mostly vegan options, but they had all of the staples; pricing was fair for the portion size. The presentation was nice even though it was take out but that was no where near the best part... The food is amazing. From their crispy and moist falafel balls, their herbal smokey babaganoush , to their fresh toasted pita bread. Undoubtably the cooks know what they are doing. I have had a lot of mediteranean food from many locations, but this is by far the best i've ever had. Fresh, addicting, delicious. This place is a MUST try if you are in...
