Take out order Chicken Florentine Chicken Italiano
The first thing I will say is that the price that is online does not reflect what is actually being charged. The online menu states that the dishes were $14. We picked them up ourselves, and called the place to order, but renewed up costing $40, do the math ain't mathing.
To the food, the best way I can describe the dishes is a 6/10 in flavor for the Italiano and a 7/10 (as a leftover) for the Florentine, it was my wife's dish and she ate what she could of it, but she gave it a 4/10. The sauces in my opinion had flat notes of flavor and didn't really hit in the Italian spirit of bright beautiful and balanced flavors. The dishes come with 3 garlic knots which I thought were pretty good and a side salad which was pretty generic but nothing to write home about.
When we picked up the food they had or parked smartly, they had additional cardboard between the food canisters and extra paper plates, plenty of napkins, but they didn't give us any plastic ware, I should have asked but I saw the napkins and I had the trust they was in there, but getting back to our hotel room and found it that was not the case. Thankfully my hotel had some and that was side stepped but the inconvenience was annoying to say the least.
I would have a hard time recommending this place because of the price and the lackluster flavors of the dishes. However it does make up for how much food you get. Overall...
Read moreThis place deserves zero stars. EVERY Saturday night, after posted business hours, cafe italiano turns into an unruly night club (11 p - 2 a) and is a disturbance to local residents. This establishment has no regard for locals trying to sleep. The music is so loud that building infrastructures shake. Hard working individuals, infants, and the elderly continue to lose sleep. Sound machines, fans, noise canceling headphones - nothing works to drown the constant noise disturbance out. Sadly, the worst part about it all is that their patrons stay even later, until 3-4 AM (EVERY Saturday) drinking, blasting music from their cars and getting into fights in the public parking lot that backs up to an apartment complex. How is all of this okay? Residents should have the right to feel safe and live/rest peacefully. Loitering, open containers, drunk/disorderly in public and loud constant noise disturbances are all against the law. Shame on you cafe italiano for promoting such reckless behavior. You wouldn’t have a business without the support of locals. How about reciprocating that generosity, turn the music down on Saturday nights and tell your patrons to move on once you close up shop...
