Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Salisbury

Yesterday my husband spent an hour and a half waiting on a custom cake I ordered 3 days ago, because the blast freezer was “broken” but they repeatedly insisted it “would be ready soon.” After he spent an hour and a half waiting and decides to come home cakeless, they call me an hour and a half later to tell me the cake is ready at 9 PM. I asked them to please hold it in the freezer until this afternoon. I came in at 4 pm and was told that they did not have the custom cake I was explicitly told was ready. They told me the freezer had been left unplugged last night so my cake no longer existed, but the store had opened 9 hours ago at that point. No one called to tell me or remade the cake in those nine hours, they offered to allow me to wait another hour for them to make it. I chose a $25 premade cake instead as it’s now the day of my sisters birthday. The girl working the register made me a very gracious offer to just take the $25 cake instead of the $40 cake I ordered and already tipped on, we could call it even. They charged both my husband and I for the cake, so I’m currently waiting 48 hours for them to process $85 in refunds on one small ice cream cake. Just to wind up with a ready made anyways. Massive waste of time, horrible customer service experience, absolutely nothing was done to fix the problem caused by their negligence/incompetence. This location has always been able to accomodate my daughter's peanut allergy by going into the back with clean scoops and getting icecream that has not been cross contaminated. Very few ice cream shops can accommodate this type of allergy. It means the world to my daughter that they can. ❤ It means the world to me to be able to see her happy! Coldstone has the best icecream I have ever had. I love that you can sample before you buy... for those who like to change things up. However, I always stick with the same thing... and I am grateful this location keeps my favorite on hand... not all locations do. The taller, slim gentleman who has taken our orders many times over the last few years always seems to remember my daughter has a peanut allergy. We only go in a few times a year... but he remembers... you can't beat service like that. We have not been in so many months due to Covid... but hopefully when we return, things will be just as wonderful as they always have been. Thank you, Salisbury Coldstone! For anyone wondering if this place is worth...

We pre ordered our ice cream from the parking lot since there was a huge banner covering the store front ( figured we couldn't go in) fine no problem we understand.... 20 min wait for order... Ok we will go to the shop next door ( keep in mind we have 4 kids) we go in to get our order... They pull it out of the cooler... 2 were supposed to be cone... She hands me 2 cones after i asked... Then i asked if she could put them in the cone so i didn't have to try and manage it in the car... Sure no problem... We ended up with ice cream soup missing some of the mix ins... So 3 disappointed kids and a huge mess to clean up... Thanks for bringing...
