For some reason there's a note on my grooming account from over a year ago that my dog is incompetent when he comes (this is not a true statement). When this note was added and after a very heated discussion with the grooming manager I told myself that I would not bring my dog back to this Petsmart because certain staff members have labeled him and appear to always have a negative comment about him. This was so long ago that I completely forgot about it. I was quickly reminded of my vow when Ashley asked me about the old note. She asked me was the note about my dog being incompetent an old note or was it from this visit (I'm sure there's a date/time stamp on the note and a history of the date of our last visit). My dog also left with blood oozing out of his right eye. None of the staff knew why his eye was bleeding. Thankfully the petsmart vet assisted me with getting my dog over to the hospital to be seen at no charge to me. I PROMISE that I will never bring my dog back to the petsmart in salisbury; all dogs are not treated equally. I must say that Lauren was nice and did a great job on the bath and brush. Ashley should learn to be more professional and value her customers. When we visited over a year ago I did not receive a report with feedback on how my dog did and the services he received (this is what started the heated conversation amongst other things). Please note that during this recent visit I STILL DID NOT receive a report or feedback on how my dog did and the services he received. We've been going to petsmart since my dog was born 9 years ago; no other petsmart in North Carolina treats...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had a terrible experience with PetSmart grooming services that I feel compelled to share. I used to bring my mini golden doodle, Finley, there regularly until about six months ago. During our last visit, Finley was in the groomer's care for six and a half hours. When I dropped her off, the groomer had tightened the grooming leash so much that it cut off Finley's air supply, and I had to loosen it myself so she could breathe. Finley was visibly terrified, shaking like a leaf, which I now believe was due to how she was treated once I left.
Additionally, the staff seemed to have a negative attitude towards grooming her, likely due to the stigma around her breed. Every visit, I was charged a mat combing fee, even though I know for a fact that her hair was not matted. I wasn't planning on leaving a bad review and was willing to let it go until I received a phone call six months later asking if Finley would be coming back for grooming. I explained what had happened during our last visit, and the employee simply said, "okay, thank you for your time," and hung upāno apology, nothing. This lack of accountability and care is unacceptable, and I would not recommend their grooming...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMind blown that after 3 different times of coming to the groomers at this Salisbury location each time has been lazier than the last. Mind you all 3 times I have been turned away or called to come back for some lame excuse. I made an appointment for 12:30 today and get a call if I want to move it up earlier so I said 11:30 works fine. I left work early got my dog and when I got here they began to lecture me on my dogs hair like I havenāt got the same hair cut for her for 9 years and treat her coat very well. Lani then proceeded to say she was really stressed and panting and she would need to go to the crate first which was not the case. From here it sounded like she was trying to make any excuse not to cut her hair. After not even 10 minutes of leaving I get a call that she was not going to be able to continue because she was sitting and didnāt want to stand for more than five minutes. She is a little older so she gets tired a bit more and wants to sit but she will listen. She had gotten haircuts for 9 years now and not any other groomer has ever complained or stop the service as much as this...
