I recently visited GameStop and had a truly horrendous experience with an employee named Delphia. Despite repeatedly declining her offers to upgrade my membership, she continued to pester and harass me, showing a complete lack of respect for my decisions.
Throughout my visit, Delphia's behavior became increasingly passive-aggressive. When I politely declined her membership upgrade for the umpteenth time, she responded with an exasperated tone, saying, "Well, it's your loss." Such unprofessional behavior left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome in the store to the point where my wife and I practically ran out of the store without the receipt to get away from her.
To make matters worse, I decided to return an item just two minutes after leaving the store. However, Delphia outright refused to process the refund, even though I had just been there moments ago. This level of stubbornness and disregard for customer satisfaction is completely unacceptable.
As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of whether I choose to upgrade my membership or make a return. Delphia's persistent attempts to push the upgrade and subsequent refusal to provide a simple refund reflect poorly on GameStop as a whole.
I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when dealing with Delphia or, better yet, avoid this particular GameStop location altogether. The lack of professionalism and the negative customer experience I encountered make it clear that there are better options for gaming purchases elsewhere.
GameStop should seriously reconsider their employee training and customer service protocols to prevent situations like this from happening in the future. It is disheartening to witness such poor customer service in an industry that thrives on building relationships with gamers.
Overall, my encounter with Delphia at GameStop was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I hope that my review serves as a warning to others and prompts the necessary changes within the company to ensure better customer...
Read moreI understand that when I go into a retail store where associates make commission, said associate is going to try and upsell me. I generally don't mind this when I'm asked a couple of times and the subject is dropped. What I will not accept is being bullied into buying a membership so thoroughly that I actually run out of a store, refusing bag and receipt, just to get away. Of course refusing to get the receipt was a bad idea on my part. I get into my car and process what just happened. I dont want this shirt, it's not even my size! She just kinda convinced me to buy it because it was the last one (not blaming her for that, it's her job). My husband went right back on the store to return it and she refused, because we didn't have the receipt. Obviously she can do that if she wants but that's insanely petty. Won't be going back to GameStop in Salisbury...
Read moreGood place although I wasn't searching for this specifically. I was actually looking for GameStart but to understand why I must start from the beginning. My Dad is a chair. To be specific, he's a fully upholstered bright orange angel accent living room chair. The kind with wooden legs you'd find in any 3 piece suit from the '70s. He's pretty comfortable, truth be told. A little lumpy in places, but his padding is soft. Warm too. He's always warm. There's also the tell-tale ba-thump ba-thump ba-thump coming from his back cushion. A steady rhythm at my lumbar to remind me I'm sitting in no ordinary chair.
I am coffee table.
So I had to get a game and I was like okay where to start? And immediately thought of GameStart but ended up only finding this place, GameStop. Anyways...
