1 out of 5, 1 out of 10, 1 out of 100... you name it, it's still going to be 1. Would NOT recommend.
We've not had any good experiences here lately. First, let me say that if you plan on using the DD app to order for a pickup in the latter 3-4 hours of the day, don't bother. Specificity is a JOKE. You'll end up with NOTHING you ordered and paid for, just substitutions which you may or may not like.
I mean, why bother offering those things on the app if they're not available in store? We ordered 2 specific dozen donuts, and I think 50 Munchkins, and we received NONE of what we wanted. And we were informed that a refund was impossible in not the friendliest tones. Moreover, the Donuts we lucked into looked old and gross. The chocolate frosting on some was hard, dry, cracking, and not at all fresh.
Can't whomever creates these app-to-restaurant systems make a simple "outage" for individual food items? So annoying.
Lest you think this was only a nighttime occurrence, we visited again a week or two later, around 1300 or 1400. Once again, we encountered rude staff who, it felt like, blamed us for their being out of damned near everything we requested? We just left without purchasing anything that time.
Whatever. Next time, we're heading straight to Krispy Kreme. Watch for...
Read moreThis is ridiculous, I ordered 12 donuts on the mobile app and payed online at around 8pm and when I came to pick it up they were out of every single doughnut I ordered . They didn’t even have 12 donuts in the entire store. They only had seven in a single flavor that I don’t like. The lady working there told me I would have to contact customer service to get a full refund but now it looks like it’s going to take 48 hours for them to review the ticket. I understand my order was later at night but it’s not even the fact they didn’t have the doughnuts I’m most frustrated about, it’s the fact they couldn’t process a refund in store for a mobile order! Now I have to jump through hoops and hope they refund me and it’s going to take two days to get my money back! I know it’s not the employee’s fault because big corporations like to screw customers over any chance they get, but it seems training and allowing your employees to refund mobile orders on site would be common sense if you aren’t going to mark on the app items that aren’t available
Edit: Three days later this has still been a nightmare getting refunded. I have submitted multiple tickets just to not hear back and am STILL waiting for even a confirmation or anything that my refund...
Read moreI order half a dozen donuts, a frozen coffee, and hashbrowns. the food and coffee were amazing. but the staff seems to have some kind of issue with having to do their jobs. i ordered at the kiosk because they all seemed very busy with drive thru orders, which i can fully understand as someone who works in customer service. But a younger girl with braids walked up to the register and just gave me a dirty look for literally no reason. then she went back to the kitchen area near the drive thru. then as they’re putting my order on the counter a different girl gave me a side eye and scrunched her nose up. attitudes toward customers who you haven’t even interacted with don’t belong in customer service, find another job if you hate people that much. i can understand it if i were a karen or rude to them, but i used the kiosk and didn’t even speak to...
