El Patron Mexican Grill & Cantina — Restaurant in Salisbury

Was very dissatisfied with our experience tonight. Was there for my Daughter's birthday. 15 of us. We were all seated without menus, took 10 minutes before she took our drink order. When she finally brought our drinks to us she didn't have not mention menus, we waited a few minutes and finally one of us got up an asked someone for some and they said okay but never brought them to us. So we went an got them ourselves. They were not sanitized. Waitress took another 20 minutes to come and take our order... Order seemed to take forever, when she brought out first tray food was cold and those that got their food didn't have everything they ordered. The second tray came out still not all the food, mentioned missing two salads, when she brought third tray of food to table salads were given to those that ordered it.There was hair in one of the salads.She replaced it. Took forever to refill drinks...Someone asked for a second beer and never got it but was charged for it...And when we finally got our checks tip was already added in which was okay but it plainly said parties of 6 or more will have gratuity of 15 percent added to bill, still okay but on down the receipt it charged all of us 18 percent....We bought all of this to Someone's attention about everyone's bill and they said they would take care of it.Only took care of two bills...We kept complaining and finally the manager came out to see about the problems...We told him everything that was wrong and he said well it is Friday and we are busy, You have a large party and we accommodated you.i said to him that's well and fine but it's not our fault our food was cold and hair was in a salad he said why did you not come to me, we said we notified the waitress and other employee and he said we we should have come to him and we said it's not our place to have to hunt you down after we told other employees...I do not feel like us 15 will go back. My plate was good and I would get it again but don't see that happening...Very, Very Disappointed not just one or two of us but...

Our family took my daughter to El Patron for her 6th birthday in March, and from the moment we entered were treated as burdens rather than guests. We waited over 30 minutes to have our orders taken. The waiter, Alex was extremely rude, cutting my wife off when she had questions about the menu and acting exacerbated when we asked for more chips. At one point he moved his hands hurriedly as if to tell us to "wrap it up". We asked if we could have the waiters sing happy birthday to my daughter as that was the entire reason she wanted to go there. He gave us a sour look but said nothing. Our food finally did come out 45 minutes after we ordered, is was dried out, lost much of its flavor and had clearly been sitting under heat lamps for an extended period of time. Long after finishing our meal Alex finally appeared at our table for the first time since he slapped down our food in front of us. He handed us the check and informed us bluntly that he was too busy and would not be singing to our daughter. It seems the only thing Alex did successfully that day way upset a 6 year old on her birthday.

I have waited a long time to post this review as I wanted to let mysef cool off from how angry I was at the time. Let me be clear. At one time I loved El Patron, I had gone there since it opened and for a long time it was the best place in town in both quality and price. Sadly much has changed there. The service has has become abysmal. It saddens me to have to have written this review, I always admired George the owner as a model restaurateur, he has always made himself visible, often working behind the bar or as a server, and in the past their was almost always a manager on the floor who would check up on tables at least once a meal. I hope those days return at some point, however I'll never know as my family and I will never eat...

Went here for late lunch. We dined in and we were seated immediately. There weren't many people in the restaurant when we arrived. It was me, my boyfriend, and our daughter.

I'm not giving too many details because I am tired. Every other server we had except one woman was nice.

Our orders were taken, me and my boyfriend both got a built your own burrito and before we could order our daughter's food our menus were taken and the waitress walked off. It irked me the entire time we were there and by the time anyone else came by our table it was for our food. My boyfriend shared with our daughter.

It took more than 15 minutes for my boyfriend to get his WATER refilled, and he was checking his phone constantly to check our time stopped on our trip. When the water finally got refilled the same waitress took off before we could ask her for another refill of chips (our first refill) and we ended up having to ask one of the male waiters for chips.

Then, to top it all off, we tried asking the same waitress for a box after she refilled my boyfriend's water and took off again. She looked at my boyfriend when she walked off and saw him trying to ask for something but still continued on her way.

Also, RBF. I understand working in food service is hard on emotions and mental health. If you are unhappy with you job, look for another one or just quit. It's unfair to take your frustrations out on customers. Or gossip at one of the tables near the...
