This experience was the worst I've ever had at Outback. Jessica S. was our server. The place wasn't packed when me and a friend came for an early dinner. We both ordered the $16.99 deal, but I also had a flight. She told us there was a side included also, so I asked what are the sides. She named them off so I had the macaroni and cheese. I ordered my burger medium well but more on the well side. This is exactly what I said. The salad and chili came out. Cool. We asked the server for more napkins and got 2. One for each of us I guess. So the front manager came around and asked was everything alright. I asked for more napkins and hadn't cut into my burger yet. When she brought us more napkins and walked away, I cut it open. The thing was too pink for me. I sent it back asking for less pink. It came out again and this time even more bloody. The server said it does have tomatoes on it, like I don't know the difference between tomato juice and bloody meat. The way she said it was condescending and no apology to try and make it right. The back of the house manager came out and I showed him the burger and told him I just want it well done at this point. So he said he would cook it himself. So while waiting, Jessica comes back over and asked was there anything else wrong? Now what kind of service is that??? The back manage came out with my 3rd burger and it still has a little pink but I could manage it not being bloody. I only ate half of it at this time. Server comes back again. We told her what sauce we wanted with our cheesecake, and we wanted it to go. She left and came back again with no dessert. She then told me they made her take off my flight and I still had to pay for the meal. Mind you, they couldn't get the burger right for nothing. I told her we were waiting on the cheesecake and that's all. She asked did we want any bags. We both said yes, and she came back with one bag. When I got the bill, I'm looking like how is it 21.18? Well apparently the Mac and cheese was a signature side and I was not told there would be a $2.99 upcharge for it. I could pay for it, but if I were on a budget, too bad for me. She should have disclosed that when we ordered. Just like the chili was extra too, and spicy by the way. The server was too condescending with her interaction with us and not apologetic at all. I had to get a bag from the hostess before leaving. I have NEVER had an experience like this at this Outback or any others I've been to. Hopefully there can be more training involved in these type of situations. It was as if she was taking it personal that the food wasn't right and I don't know the difference between blood and tomato...
Read moreMy family and I regular Outback at least once a week, and normally we have no complaints. Tonight was completely the opposite. Yes we were seated very quickly after the waiter made a remark under his breath about how many people we had in our group. We ordered drinks and bread, that came quickly and was great. We ordered an appetizer (blooming onion extra crispy) the one we received was not. Okay no worries. When we went to order our food, half way through, a bus boy came and interrupted mid sentence taking the attention from our waiter and they proceeded to talk about another table that was just sat. Ok slightly irritated but it's busy and work happens. We order our food and it comes out, my steak (supposed to be medium well) was hard to even cut let alone chew and cold. My husband's (medium well) was very much medium rare and his fries were cold. The order of separate cheese fries were cold. A Joey burger that was asked to have ketchup and mustard, and we got one that was flooded with mustard. We ordered a Strawberry cheesecake and received a raspberry frozen cheese cake. We get our check and pay in cash only for our waiter to not give us all of our change. My husband was ok with letting the silver change , that we did not receive back, go and just wanted to leave. Now it may have only been 27 cents but in my opinion it's the principle and that change can add up. As we go to leave I approach the hostess who was very polite about if I would get a email or something to leave this review. She kindly directed me to the manager on duty, at this point I was like ok ill just kindly explain this to her with out making a scene no big deal. This manager just directed me to this Google review and seemed completely uninterested as to why I was asking and told me to have a good night. May have to take a break for a little while from Outback, which I know may not matter to some , it just a shame that it would...
Read moreWorst meal I've had out in a long time, steak comes out WAY undercooked, I slide the plate to the end of the table the server walks right by, I have to flag her down to tell her it was cooked correct, she takes the plate and a few minutes go by and it dawned on me that wasn't even the correct steak, mine was supposed to have cheese and onions on it, she walks by and I stop her and tell her that wasn't even the right steak, her reply yea we were just talking about that in the kitchen, I said ok, I asked if we could her some bread ( which she had given some to the table that came in after we did, and took their order before ours) she walks away and another lady brings out the steak and says here yry this again, I cut it open and still bloody, I said no it's not even close to med well. She says oh its supposed to be med rare, no I would never touch med rare, she laughs and says oh there has been a misunderstanding, ok I'll be back, she leaves with a steak that has blood coming out of it, returns in less then 3 minutes and says here cut it open again, it's almost done and now a almost gray looking piece of meat( surly been microwaved) i said at that point it's done, she just walked away, I saw it into pieces ate 1 bite and couldn't even chew through it, i gave up, she finally came back after I waved fir her to get the check and she seen the plate and asked if I wanted a box, I said ok, figured I was buying it I would give it to my pup. Not once did she refill my glass, never apologized or anything, my husband said we seen an ad on TV for here but didn't see it in here anywhere, are you all not running it, her answer, oh its a secret menu we keep in the back and only offer those specials if we are asked about them, now that's shady! Way to many places to eat around to get the kind of service and REALLY bad food, when you leave a restaurant hungry that's pretty sad. Sorry for...
