Stopped over for quick bite before heading home... completely disappointed in food quality. We like IHOP well enough (the few times we have gone being New the the US), but this location was unsatisfactory. Our hash browns were horrible. Burnt slightly on the outside, and tasted as if it were cooked in old oil. The center was complete mush and tasted spoiled. Upon arrival (after several hours on the road), we were seated, didn't even open the menu yet to see the drink selection, the server immediately opens her order book and asks me what we want to order for drinks. I proceed to ask her to give us a few minutes and she goes on to say, "oh but if I get your drink order now I can start putting in the order while you decide what to eat.. " in a tone that sounded like we were causeing her an inconvenience if she had to come back to see if we were ready. We literally just walked in! I guess she got the hint because she changed her tone and says, "ok, I can give you a few minutes." Upon receiving the food, the quality of the bacon that came with my sons meal was poor along side the burnt, mushy hash browns. I never in my life saw bacon served that way. It was solid as a rock. This was a very disgruntling experience, if you don't want to be disappointed go to the buffalo wing restaurant next door, you'll have a better eating...
Read moreI Love IHOP but not this location. I went around 1-2:30pm on a Friday. The mozzarella sticks were terrible!!! They used to have 5 giant ones. Now there are like 7 small ones. The waitress asked me did I want marinara sauce AFTER she brought them over cooked. Smh I had to ask for silverware AFTER she brought me & my daughter's food. When we did get it, it was dirty. We got new silverware. I got an country omelette, paid extra for green peppers and mushrooms and barely got any @ all & it was sprinkled on top. All of the cheese was sprinkled on the top & on the sides. It was the worst omelette I've ever had in my life!! Meanwhile I'm wondering where my pancakes are that come with my omelette so I got up and asked her for them since she never came back to check with our table to see if everything was okay with our food. By the time she brought me the pancakes I was disgusted and didn't want to eat anything I asked for a manager she was very polite and apologized and took my food off the bill. Might I add that during the time my daughter and I were waiting for our food we had to listen to the cooks & the waitress yell at each other back and forth. While the cooks acted like they didn't have a full house of customers, laughing loudly and using profanity. P.S The hash browns on the side what disgusting I took one bite. Just...
Read moreMy family and I went to eat together and we were told that was NOT possible. I have 5 amazing children, one still in a high chair. We were told at first it would be fine, however when we went to be seated they were wanting to place us at two separate tables across the room from each other. They claimed the major and health department of Salisbury would fine them if they sat more then six people to a table. I explained that that should not matter if it is the same family and especially if it was small children. They said there was nothing they could do and if we wanted to eat there we were not allowed to sit at a family unit. This is the whole point in going out as a family. I repeated to the manager "So you are refusing to serve us as a family?" She tepeated we were not allowed to be together. This is discrimination....discrimination of a traditional family. I left the property with my children and proceeded to call the health department to confirm what they said was incorrect. I spoke with several different well mannered people at the Salisbury Health department and they confirmed that IHOP was incorrect. They also informed me that they are not going around fining people and businesses. Another lie from the management. I will be contacting corporate headquarters...
