I just ordered a pie with double Italian sausage and got this (see photo). I asked the staff "are you sure that this a double sausage pie?" And was told yes this is definitely a double sausage pie. This begs the question of what a single meat pie would look like. Would there be any meat on the pie at all? I feel like this is a daggum shame, because this joint used to be really good. Very good in fact! There are slices on this pie that do not contain a single piece of sausage, so it's in fact a cheese pizza. If I wanted a cheese pizza, that's what I would have ordered. I just called the shop and asked again about this issue and the manager doubled down with their story "I looked at it in the shop before you left, and there was definitely double meat on that pizza". I feel like I should challenge the credit card billing to try and get the $37 charge cancelled, but of course I won't do that because I don't want to be that kind of person. Nonetheless, I feel more than just a little bit cheated by this business. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere for a quality product. This joint apparently ain't gonna provide it. Addendum: I never post negative reviews for local businesses. I however feel compelled to post this review as a cautionary tale for anyone who happens to see it. Again, such a shame for a place that used to...
Read moreI eat a lot of pizza, like 3 or 4 times a week. I have had hundreds of pizzas from around the world. Free Wheeler is my 2nd favorite of all time.
The sauce is magnificent. Sauce is something most places can't seem to figure out. It's a main flavor of every pizza and is usually bland. Not here though. This pizza sauce will take you on a journey through time and space, taking your tastebuds to a new galaxy. The depth of flavors is deeper than the Mariana Trench.
The cheese is flavorful and perfectly melted. A nice, smooth, and high quality experience. The moisture and fat content of the cheese hits right on the mark to add to this culinary delight.
The pepperoni is exactly what pepperoni should be. It's a punch of flavor with just a hint of spice. It gives the texture you're looking for and a taste you didn't even know could be achieved.
Now let me tell you a little secret. This ain't no ordinary pizza crust. This beautifully crafted crust is made from sourdough. It's the first part of the pizza that hits your tongue when you take a bite. Your tongue will be confused. Confused why you haven't let it experience these...
Read moreI used to order a lot from freewheeler pizza. Last time my pizza came very welldone and the garlic rolls were so hard. I had to throw them away. I called and they said they could redeliver some new ones back out or I could call down the road and get them later on cause my account has a credit on it for a half a dozen garlic rolls. I called today to get them and they made it very difficult and said they have a book they write these in and what day was it ordered them etc. The guy kept arguing with me and then said he would give them to me but wouldn't deliver them. I should have just let them redeliver them when it happened...so they didn't follow up with the credit or redelivery of the product they ruined in the first place. What should have been simple...was impolite, acting like I was lying and didn't want to look up my account or deliver these out. Poor business practice!!! I told him I would eat the money myself. Not good way to treat customers when their original order...
