This was the worst manicure I’ve ever had. I’m not sure how this salon is rated above 4 stars. I did a nail removal and gel manicure that was supposed to take 1 hour and 15 minutes. Instead, it took over 2 and a half hours. I came in at 5:40 and wasn’t done until after 8:10, over an hour after they closed. During my manicure, my nail technician (I never got her name) wouldn’t stop talking, and she used her hands to talk, so she would stop working on my nails every time she made a comment. Just filing my nails took 30 minutes, and the shape was so inconsistent. She also over-filed, so it started to hurt my nail beds. The painting was just as bad. She made lots of small strokes instead of long thin ones, so the color came out looking blotchy. There are patches with thicker polish within the same nail. There’s also a lot of texture, which she said was because of the nail polish brush leaving residue, but I’m pretty sure it’s because she used the wrong base coat. She helped me pick a good color, which is why this is two stars instead of one, but you can’t be a nail tech and not be able to do nails well. My boyfriend said that they looked like I had done them, definitely not like they were professionally done, and it’s saying a lot that even he could tell. To top it off, my nail beds have been in pain since the manicure, and today (the next day) they started bleeding. This should be unacceptable. I wish I could get a refund because my nails are literally in worse shape (and pain) than when I came in. If you’re looking for a nail salon, I strongly urge you to go somewhere else.

Absolutely horrible experience. I called for a full set and was relieved when Susie said she could squeeze me in. After the shaping which you can see is absolutely horrible, I told her I didn’t want her to continue because I was unhappy with how they were turning out. She proceeded to charge me $70 for nails that weren’t even done. I tipped her $10 even though I was unhappy, I still believe tipping is a common courtesy. After paying, I walked out of the store and broke down in tears because I was so upset with how they looked. I walked back in and asked her if I could speak to her in the back away from other customers (again, common courtesy) and ask if I could come back and have her fix them since I paid for them already. She said ā€œyes, but I think you’re being over dramaticā€ at that point I just gave up. I left and was so upset. Very unprofessional for the owner of a business or anyone is customer service for that matter to tell a customer they are over reacting. Especially when it is a service I am paying for and am unhappy with. Absolutely worst experience ever received from a person in customer service. Here we are two days later, three have already broken and one is cracked. I cannot believe I paid for these.

I’ve been getting my nails done for over 20 years (Grew up with a wicked nail biting habit and getting my nails done really helped that). I love Cupcake! I take my 80-year-old dad and every 3 weeks - Pedicure for him and Bilder gel nails for me 😁 we also started using their waxing service and every 6 weeks I schedule him to get his nose, eyebrows and ears waxed, it’s seriously awesome. I’ve loved anyone I’ve had there, but Maria does my dad’s pedicures and she’s so patient and sweet. Lucy does my nails and she’s insanely talented! Sidenote - i’m allergic to acrylic and gel, my fingers totally blister and hurt if I use them 😣 But Bilder gel is awesome and I have zero reaction!

Just visited this salon for the first time as it’s close to where I live and more convenient than where I was getting my nails done before. I regret coming here. Let me start with what I liked: it was convenient to book via their website. I also like the way my nails look for the most part. Now the cons: have you ever gone to a nail salon and felt like your presence was an unfortunate inconvenience? That’s how I felt throughout my visit. The nail tech, I assume her name is Maria because that’s who I booked with but she never actually introduced herself, seemed too busy and hassled that I was there. I started with a hot acetone soak to remove my old dip manicure followed by a rough use of the dremel which I’m worried damaged/thinned my natural nails, she seemed to be in a hurry. The whole station was dirty, she hadn’t cleaned up between clients, including the towel and I only saw her use a newly sterilized cuticle nipper, not sure if everything else was sterilized for me. I’m ok with trimming cuticle but probably because she was in a rush she didn’t have me soak my hands in water so she roughly trimmed my dry cuticles and they are now painful. I hope I don’t get an infection, although as if she was aware she injured my cuticles she excessively sprayed my hands with alcohol. Ouch. The polish I chose was apparently so old it had changed color and the second color I chose was much lighter than I wanted but honestly rather than chose another color and prolong my appointment further I just said whatever. Otherwise, the salon was just dirty, the chairs were stained, the nail counters don’t look like they get wiped off. I wish I had seen a review like mine and I would have gone elsewhere so my poor nails/cuticles wouldn’t have been butchered and I really hope I don’t get an infection. I won’t ever be returning and I don’t recommend others get their nails done here. I’ve tried to include pictures which show my red and irritated...

My friend and I went here for a mani for my bday. She was visiting from out of town. She got dip and I did a normal polish. There was one woman who clearly knew what she was doing but the other two girls were questionable.

While my friend was getting her dip done, I noticed (and so did the nail tech) that there was a small spot on her nail that stopped getting coated in dip. This occurred for several dips. Finally, she pays extra attn to that spot and starts getting it again. The next day, my friend’s nail developed a bubble and eventually cracked leaving dip polish wreckage on her nail.

I asked for normal polish. Clearly, the color I picked hadn’t been used in a while. It was mucky and sticky. The girl continued with it so I thought maybe she’d figure out a way to salvage it. It was awful. Because the polish was so bad, she put it on SUPER thick. So thick that even late that night it was still tacky. It was also very sloppy. The girl even had the gall to ask what I thought. I just looked at her and said ā€œwhateverā€. I was too tired to sit through another round. I ended up taking it all off. It took forever to get it off because of how thick it was. Not only that, my cuticles and such didn’t even look manicured.

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. Like I said, there was one woman who seemed in charge and she was great...
