Damn, Kiitos. Y'all messed up. I have been bragging all over town about how great the beer is and considering you guys for the #1 spot in my heart. My wife feels the same way about your brews, so it was incredibly disappointing to show up with 12-15 people for her birthday pub crawl on Friday at 11:30 to be turned away and told you decided to close early. I have worked in the restaurant industry and if we would have come in at 11:55 or something, you would have been fully within your rights to turn us away. As it happened, we had plenty of time to drink a pint and continue on the crawl we painstakingly organized around closing times and based on limited transport downtown. I am super not impressed, and me and my small minions of beer over consumers will sadly have to imbibe elsewhere. Luckily, there increasingly many options to do so. Just a friendly tip, don't piss off your faithful...
Read moreOn the first night of my visit to Salt Lake City, my friends brought me here after climbing Ensign Peak. The space is great; nice lighting, layout, pinball machines and televisions. I was intrigued by the Salt-n-Pickle Ale and it was an experience masquerading as a beer. The flavor was intense and briny before feeling soothing and fading away.
They had a merch store at the front where I saw the buff in the picture. I love it. I wear it whenever I travel to visit friends so that they know it's the real me. When I showed the buff to a friend she said, "Kiitos means 'thank you' in Finnish." The brewery also sells cans to go and we bought 24 tall boys of their blonde ale for a ludicrous $24. We took them on our journey to Goblin Valley State Park and they provided replenishment and encouragement as we drank them in Goblin's Lair.
Thank you to this brewery for the beer, memories and continued...
Read moreKiitos you have our hearts!! First tried Kiitos at the beer festival in SLC, then again at Peculiar Pours in Ogden. We were hooked. Finally took the plunge tonight and absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We unfortunately missed the food truck but were not let down by the crew inside! We were greeted with arms wide open and our host had no problem explaining the ins and outs of Kiitos to us as it was our first time at the cannery. (my only downfall is the high point beers sales stop at 10.) The fridges and merch are perfect! Ended up with a new hat and beer glass tonight! We tried several beers but will keep them a secret! There wasn't a beer we didn't like. I would recommend getting a half pour or taster until you find the one that is just meant for you. Then go for the pint. We can't wait to come back. Love you...
