tucked inside woodbine foodhall, this burger spot offers a refreshing take on classic comfort food. i ordered their shroom burger — a beautifully crafted masterpiece topped with peppery arugula, a rich mushroom marsala sauce, and decadent, melty brie cheese. each bite struck a perfect balance: the bitterness of the arugula cut through the creamy brie, while the savory marsala mushrooms added a deep, luxurious flavor you don’t often find on a casual burger.

woodbine also has a bar inside and you don’t even have to leave your barstool to order food. you can order right from your phone and have your burger delivered to you! it’s a seamless, relaxed experience that pairs perfectly with their expertly mixed cocktails.

My partner is a burger snob. He wants meat that hasn’t been frozen, fresh toppings, and a patty that isn’t overcooked or he won’t be back - good fries aren’t required but he appreciates them. He measures all burger meals against his favorite: Five Guys. Doms mushroom burger is the first non-FG experience that he has raved about. From comments while he was eating to expressing a desire to go back soon, the burger made an impact. It was perfectly cooked with crispy edges and a juicy center, the flavor of the meat was complimented by the umami of the mushroom sauce and the fries were crisp and hot. I came back three times to try one of each of Dom's Burgers. The English, The Shroom, and The Western.

The English was a great, classic smash burger. It hit the spot, with the benefit of an English muffin bun, which I liked.

The Shroom had a wonderful mushroom sauce with a balsamic reduction. I was surprised to like it as much as I did, it was splendid. Very flavorful and delicious.

Today, I had The Western. It had both great texture, and the quality and flavor of the meat and bacon had shown through. I thought I might struggle with the height of the burger, but it wasn't an issue, and I enjoyed every bite.
