Sunday School — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

Made reservations for a party of 14 to celebrate and recognize our friend Precious’ birthday. Although checked in a few mins late the host Solo and the others working with him were welcoming and accommodating to our party. We had a great server by named of Morgan who was helpful and very on top of everything. We had a few orders of their infamous beignets which they provided to us as complimentary! The food was tasty but even when we had a dish that never came out for one of our friends, Morgan kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. Informed her that we’re missing a dish and it’s been awhile. She jumped on it and had it out immediately. The staff and I believe he’s the owner constantly came by checked on our party greeted us and took numerous pictures of us. We eventually went upstairs where they had a live DJ and had our own section too! The DJ was killing it on the music but also took our requests with no hesitation. The treatment and hospitality we felt from the staff was truly exceptional! Especially Solo who greeted me with the vibes & always made sure my friends and I had everything we needed and more! Hats off to the entire staff from giving us that top notch hospitality and being great! Haven’t felt this type of hospitality...

It is a super cute place! We arrived at sunset- that was beautiful. The food was just so so. The service was just ok. It took 15-20 minutes for a server to come over with water and no one was even here yet. I had 2 cocktails- Saint and Sinner was very good. We started with the deviled eggs with caviar. I don’t recommend that dish- with the strong taste of just the deviled egg you can’t even taste the caviar/ so what’s the point? Also, the picture of the deviled eggs on the website didn’t match the real life version- maybe 1/4th of the caviar that’s shown or less. The Caesar salad was so drenched with dressing I couldn’t really eat much. We asked for the steak medium and it was cooked well. I would give the flourless cake that the server recommended a 1 out of 10. It was basically burnt. Our ticket total was $165 + tip. I hate to say it but it just wasn’t worth that bill. I tried out drinks at Sunday School located upstairs in the Sunday’s Best Restaurant while waiting for a table opening on the main level of this amazing new location. Both the. Restaurant and the bar were so well decorated and had a great vibe! I came with a group of friends and we all ordered different drinks - Divine Intervention, Halo Halo, Confessional, Rosary Beads, Prophet Punch, and Alter Ego. Our bartender/server carefully crafted the cocktails and each one tasted delicious. They offered both cocktails and mocktails, perfect for any preference!

The space was clean and the staff were welcoming. All green check marks in my book! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu as they also offer...
