I WILL REMOVE THIS REVIEW WHEN THE PROPERTY CHANGES THEIR LOT MANAGEMENT! This brewery is located right next door to a very popular nightclub. The night club has a very small parking lot, while this building as well as some other buildings in the lot have over 120 parking spaces. I have never has this happen before while going to this club, but last night the gates to the lot were locked. This left me, my friend, and 3 other young women completely unable to leave. The area is full of drug addicts so the streets are not safe to just stand outside. When we attempted to reach the brewery, the property manager, and the towing company there was no answer or no information on how to get the cars out. We ended up calling the police from a non emergency line but had to wait almost 3 hours. Eventually, it was getting to dangerous to just stand out in the street waiting. We all had to wake up a relative at 4am and be picked up. After talking to the club workers they stated that this has only happened one other time and someone broke their leg trying to get to their car to be safe from some threatening people. You should be ashamed. You own a lot far to big for your business, knowing that the club next door needs spaces. That gate should be either open, or pay to park so the gate can be opened or closed by people parking there! This is putting club goers in hards way by leaving them stranded at all hours of the night with no safe place to go. Outrageous!...
Read moreThe watermelon salad was excellent, but the watermelon is warm, just FYI. I'd pass on the risotto balls. Staff was friendly, but the beers were meh. Really thought this place would be cool, but was disappointed.
Review elaboration per owner request: The watermelon salad was our favorite part of our visit. The warm watermelon was surprising, thus the comment, but was a highlight of the dish. We had two flights of a variety of beers, plus the Graf. I prefer a kolsch, wheat, or sour; my partner prefers IPAs. Within those beers, nothing was undrinkable, but in comparison to the other breweries we tried in SLC that day or breweries we've tried across the nation, they lacked in flavor (ie. fruit forward beers were lacking in orange, honey, and raspberry; hazy was a muddled IPA with no flavor). There are no beers styles to suggest as you cover the gamut; you may want to pair it down and focus on improving your most popular beers. We were so surprised that the kolsch was a miss for us since it's rated so highly. In regards to improvement on environment - it was a very quiet Sunday night, however we were never approached on how we were liking the beers, or were suggested any to try beyond our flights. Would love to try your brewery again if you decide to make improvements - we just want to be honest about...
Read moreBest brewery we've been to so far during our SLC stay. Having to max out at 5% abv on drafts, they're making the most of it. The kolsch was hands down my favorite of the flight, and it was actually the best kolsch I've had state side. NOW, we've been over the beer. Let's dive into the food 😍 I still can't get over their mustard selection (whole grain, house German, and Dijon). I was so sad to hear they don't sell the mustards, because I most definitely would have taken at least one of each home. I had the bratwurst; the bun was too tough for me (sensitive gums) so I gave the bun to my husband and ate the brat and sauerkraut dipped in the mustards. I swear I could have eaten another one because of how insanely good it was. My husband got the Reuben, and I probably could have eaten all of that too. The flavor was absolutely incredible, possibly the best Reuben flavor we've ever had. I will say though, that the corned beef was very tough to the point you had to use fingers to pull to separate your bite from the sandwich; if it had been more tender: perfection. HIGHLY...
