I decided to give Carlos Bakery a try since I never been there. I wanted to pick up some cup cakes for my daughter and her and her friends. I wait in a long line only to get attitude. I saw the cakes on display and it was just a cake with sprinkles for frosting... was not impressed...cup cakes were basic and so I decided to go with the minnie cakes.... It was my turn and I asked if they had any fondant cakes the girl helping me said no only special order. Okay so I asked for 8 minni chocolate cakes that were on display. The girl rolled her eyes at me. I asked her what was the problem. She said hat I might as well get the big cake if I want that many minni cakes. I told her I did not want the big cake I just want the minni cakes.. So she pulls out the white covered minni's. I told her I asked for chocolate. Again eye roll and attitude. I wanted the best strawberries chocolate cakes since the ones on display the strawberries looked very old. She pulls out the tray and said to me that they all look the same. I then got mad at this point and firmly said I want 6 and that I was done. She goes to the manager and starts to whisper to her. Then she whispers to a co workers ear as if I was the problem. The manger calls me up front and asks me what the problem was. Like I was in trouble at school or something. I told her all I want is the minni cakes. Thats it! The manger begins to explain about the bigger cake. So I have to explain myself that I was a type 2 diabetic and a big cake would be useless. The manager apologized. I told the manager I did not appreciate her going to everyone at Carlo's bakery and whispering about me when all I wanted was 8 small minni cakes. Instead I walked out with 6 because I just wanted out of there. I walked...
Read moreI think I've just about had it when it comes to going here. I'm a very easy-going customer and always say thank you, I respond when greeted, I'm just very cordial towards customer service. Every time I go here, I'm rarely ever greeted. Okay, not a big deal.
But more recently, I'll go in and order a few cookies or pick up an order. And the staff always look as if I'm burdening them with my presence. I'll get an unfriendly stare from whoever is ringing me up, and when I say thank you there is NEVER a response. I'm not the kind to expect a return of favors but if I'm thanking you, at least acknowledge my existance.
I'm a regular customer and the goods at this store are relatively expensive. I don't come out here to have a good time, only to deal with workers who look like they don't like their job. That isn't my fault, I'm just a customer and I'd like to think a very kind one at that.
If the Buddy V's restaurant staff behaved like this, then I can see why that restaurant was shut down. It seems like a very silly thing to be upset about but if you can't manage basic customer service then you'll no longer be getting my business.
It doesn't help that half of the time the cookies, worth 3 dollars each, are stale and hard and clearly not made to be fresh. And then other times they won't have what you ordered last time. As if they ran out, when this place rarely has more than one other customer in...
Read moreI have came a couple times before and tried some pastries that were yummy but last night I came in to get the sweets and I had such an unwelcoming experience I don’t think I’ll go back again!!! Except to pick up my card the cashier never bothered to give me back which then ruined my night because I couldn’t even pay for my meal next door. It was horrible. I came in around 8:45pm and there was no line, someone was being checkout w the cashier. I was trying to ask about the pastries in the showcase because I don’t know what it was I got last time and I wanted something filled inside. The young man at behind the showcase clearly was annoyed with my questions and tried to get me out of there fast. I’d understand if they had a huge line but it was only me in there at this point. He made it obvious he didn’t want to be there nor did he care about my experience. I just picked an option to end the unwelcoming feeling I was getting and get out of there.. He was careless enough to take my card, fail to give it back and rush me out. Now I have to go down back to the bakery to try to retrieve my card. It’s inconvenient enough I have to do that but I can’t even call the store because the number listed isn’t working. This kind of experience isn’t worth another visit. Careless employees = non...
