Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in San Antonio

Terrible. Let me start by saying I love chillies, but there will be no more exspeshialy at this location. It started with sitting down. I was carrying my infant and was told the wait was 10/15 min. Waited 30 min or more while carrying my frustraed baby because there wasn't any where to sit. Than we finally was able to sit. We sat down and ordered everything at once because we already knew what we had wanted. So we got ONE drink we ordered out of TWO... we asked for a straw that was suppose to be in the silverware which it wasnt.. several times.. never got it so my drink sat there. Asked for our second drink several Times.. never got it. The server blamed it on the bartender. Pardon me but I know it doesn't take 30 minutes to make a drink... so we finally get our food, chips are stale as could be, our fries weren't even fully cooked... STILL have yet to recieved our straw or drink. The waitress had asked if everything was ok. I said no I didnt get a straw OR drink. She stormed off and I kid you not she word for word had the WORST attitude and said "God dam it! Forgot the straw, forgot the drink what else??" As she stormed off looking for a straw there was another server passing by and said here's a straw, and it took her little 5 seconds.. So we asked for a manager and told him everything, and all he could say was well what do you want me to do about it? ARE YOU SERIOUS... YOUR THE MANAGER YOU TELL ME HOW YOU CAN MAKE THIS RIGHT. So he said he would bring more chips and fries. He brought the fries, never brought the chips. We asked for another drink... the manager NEVER brought it. Oh boy was I so upset. Worst service ever, seriously. I dont even think words can even began to explain how terrible are experience was. I would not ever recommend going here. If the manager could had made things right it would be one thing and I think I'd be more understanding but for the manager to add to our terrible experience is...

Maybe it was just our server but it took forever to get the wrong order, then forever again to get my right order. We arrived at 7:45pm and didn't leave until 9:30 PM. Not by choice but due to how horrible the service was. I ordered a rib eye and I was brought a 6 ounce sirloin and had a mini dispute with the waiter over that steak not being the ribeye I ordered. He insisted the rib eye was 6 ounces. I said I never seen a ribeye that small and for 19$ that's just not worth it. His reply was to ask me if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said yes, the manager never came by. Waiter took steak to the back, came back apologized and said he had picked up the wrong steak and they started on my new steak. My husband was done eating before my food came back. Waiter offered a free desert on him. After only having time to eat a part of my steak due to other commitments I had, went ahead and asked for the desert, which was one of the brownie looking things with ice cream on top. He came back some time later with the brownie part in a to go container. Without the ice cream, I asked what happened to the rest of the desert and he said he thought we were gonna take it home, even if that was the case, I've had their deserts to go and they give us the ice cream in a separate container. He took it back and took a while to return with it. Mind you, we didnt get napkins until my husband was done eating, I never got a refill and my son had to start drinking from my drink because the waiter kept getting lost and wouldn't come by enough for us to ask for refills. At some point he was supposed to bring a bag so that I could put my container with my leftovers and my sons but he never did. When I got the receipt to sign, he didnt even hand me a pen and I had to sit there an additional 8 minutes before I saw him again and was finally able to get a pen, sign and leave. It was...

I don’t like to give bad reviews… this one sat on my shoulders for a long time and I could not let it go. We visited Chili’s @ 5790 W. Loop 1604 in San Antonio on 06 October 2023.

We frequent this location often because it’s close to home and usually pretty good. This particular evening somebody was obviously sleeping at the wheel. We choose a booth near the bar to have a drink. The drink was cold, tasted great and prepared properly.

Initially we ordered the chips & salsa and that came out with lightening speed (very impressed).

But next we ordered the Triple Dipper appetizer (cheeseburger sliders, mozzarella sticks and boneless wings). They were not busy that evening and it was around 10pm so I did not see any reason for our order to be delayed.

We waited more than 30 minutes for an appetizer and when it arrived it was cold and did not look very appetizing. The cheese on the cheeseburger sliders was cold (not melted), the bread was hard and dry, the mozzarella sticks were warm and the boneless wings were cold.

I know that it was not the waitress fault because she came to our table a couple times to check on us. After waiting so long we asked for the manager and showed him our unappetizing cold plate. He offered to have it prepared again, but we refused because we were ready to leave. Additionally, we asked for a side of pickles and there was something in there that did not belong there.
