Drink Texas Bar — Restaurant in San Antonio

Hello everyone let me tell you about our experience at the drink bar. We took a weekend vacation to SA this past weekend as you know everyone goes to river walk we had a great experience there at all restaurants and bars. The last night there we went to the drink bar because it was just across our hotel Cortessa. The day waitress was so friendly and gave us great service and made us feel welcome. She was leaving she ask if we could close tab with her we gave her a good tip and thanked her for being a good server/waitress. Another waitress came in we decided to stay thinking it was fun there so far but let me tell you all this evening waitress was so rude she told us she’s not there to cater tío us that we had to go to the bar and ask for the drinks, now the other waitress was bring our drinks to us. She made it clear to us I am not her and that is it. To make story short everyone was leaving the bar only a few were there. I told husband let’s go to other place this waitress obviously is not the owner cuz she don’t care to keep customers and make money. We got up and left but before that I left 2 pennies and told her thanks for nothing and there’s your tip. We went to another bar and spent 120 and the waitress 20 tip. Big mistake on her part and poor owner to have her there running off customers. Never again will we go...

It is so nice to find a bar with a fantastic atmosphere like this in downtown San Antonio, which can be touristy at times. If you are looking for a more refined location (without the body shots and fraternity brothers visiting the Riverwalk), then visit Drink. You will not be disappointed. GREAT margaritas!

The bar is conveniently located very close to the Riverwalk, right across from the Hotel Contessa. The bartenders are really fast and attentive, the drinks are creative and well-crafted, and the people are great. You can find classic cocktails, or request a new, fun drink to be made. Fun, thorough mix of pop, dance and country to appease everyone. Friendly, welcoming staff who were over the top in service, even with the crowd. We never had to wait longer than about a minute to get fresh drinks. Bathrooms were very small, but tidy and clean. I liked how both bathrooms were generic, so if there really wasn't a line for either, which was smart. The crowd was a mix of early 20's thru 50's and while the dance floor was very tiny, that didn't stop the guests from dancing pretty much all over the bar, which was cool to see. The drinks were reasonably priced and they were quick to cleanup and sanitize when guests left.
