I want to preface by saying that I am from Kentucky, and this is my first time in Texas. My mom and I visited this pub last night and it was not busy at all. We walked right in and picked our own seats, and our lovely server got to us shortly and took our order. He even went to the kitchen to ask about my mom's gluten sensitivity. While we waited, there was a man playing the piano - one of the main reasons I wanted to come here (I'm a pianist as well). His time quickly ended though, and we waited for the next pianist. In the meantime, our food came and we began eating. Then the other pianist came and began playing. After his first song, he took requests. I wasn't eager to hear anything so I didn't say anything, but he was adamant. So I spoke out "Piano Man" as my request (typical, I know). As he sang, he got the few people in the pub involved and had us sing certain parts. I loved it! I was giddy without even having a drink. All that goes to say that the environment is very personable and lovely towards tourists.
As for the food, I thoroughly enjoyed my fish and chips. It was hot, juicy, and crispy. My mom and I both loved how they catered towards her sensitivity and made sure that she was taken care of. Lovely establishment. I may be from Kentucky, but I would definitely return to this pub if I were to return to...

We sat outside by the Riverwalk because the inside area was full, and they just forgot about us. Waited 20-30 minutes to get one drink. No green beer, no St Patrick specials and the waitress took our order and never returned! Sat with no drinks and no food for another 45 minutes waiting, finally flagged down another waitress and when we complained we had not gotten our food, she was screaming at us that she โhad been there all day and was suppose to leave alreadyโ and she was just helping out and did not know what happened to our order. She was EXTREMELY rude and still never returned with our drink order or food. There was only 3 of us and a small order of one sandwich and appetizer. Totally ruined our evening! Never have we been at a restaurant where the waitress took our orders then never returned after more than 1 1/2 hours. Finally found a manager who did help to get our food reordered and comped our small bill, but overall service was the worst Iโve ever experienced in my life from two of the staff, food was mediocre, and total experience was awful ! We will never return, and would not recommend, too many other nice places to go on the Riverwalk to be...
ย ย ย Read moreFirst of all, this is a piano bar which we found out about too late. COVID has hurt the restaurant industry everywhere I understand. My husband was looking forward to a shepherd's pie which according to their web information their web page they serve. When we got there it was quiet but no servers or signs tell us to wait to be seated or to seat ourselves. We were told to seat ourselves and a server promptly came to our table. No tea so I ordered a boozy coffee it was cold. The menu code states alcohol has to be ordered with food. No shepherd's pie. Durty Nelly's sits on the Riverwalk and relies on tourism I'm sure with COVID they have had to scale their menu to items that they know will sell. But an Irish pub one would think would have shepherd's pie or corned beef. We had the fish and chips. Which were quite good-I'm not a fish fan the breading was good the food took a little longer than one would expect so they offered donuts on the house. I'm not one to pass up free fried bread ever. The service was good the ambiance was as Irish pub as...
