My husband and I have been to Grimaldi's on several occasions which is why we decided to patron them last night for a special occasion. We brought three other friends with us (business owners and professionals) that have never been there before. While we've often experienced a little bit of a wait for pizza, we've never expected the nightmare we went through last night. We ordered three pizzas, two large (one of them had 6 toppings!) and one small. The two large pizzas came out first but the small was nowhere to be found. We had to stop the waitress a couple of times to check on it. When it finally arrived, it was incorrect (no meat). Unfortunately, my friend that ordered the small pizza was also the one that had to wait a very long time for her wine. When we asked to see the manager. Craig (was only able to get out his name by asking an employee that was out back smoking), came over to our table. It was painfully apparent the moment he stepped up by both body language and attitude that he was not concerned at all with the service provided to us. We told him thank you, but never mind. And just to be clear, even though Craig's attitude was unacceptable, we are all professionals in our 40's and we did not react by being loud or disruptive in any way. We were sitting in the booth closest to the kitchen so after Craig's departure my husband was able to overhear Craig telling one of his staff that "he wasn't worried about how late/wrong our order was" and that "we were probably on our way to a strip club." What?! Needless to say this infuriated my husband. Pete did not say anything, but did give Craig a dirty look. Craig, then came over to my husband and stood directly in front of him and asked him "Do you have a problem?". I'm sorry, but anyone would take that as confrontational. My husband stood up and said hell yes, he had a problem and told him he overheard what he said. Craig did not apologize and instead said he was calling the police, which he did! The friend that ordered the small pizza got up and went to talk to Craig. Again, he was not apologetic in any way and said that he called his boss, who reviewed video, and authorized him to call the police. I highly doubt his boss saw the part on the video where the manager was degrading us to his employees. In the end, the police were understanding and nothing came of it. It was a complete nightmare. My advice, if Craig is working, either walk out immediately, or don't complain. My friends and I will never patronize Grimaldi's again wholly...
Read moreFirst time dining in with Grimaldi's and I can say that the pizza was delicious but the waiting time was awful! Before we arrived we have given the store a call to make sure that there was no waiting time. The employee who answered the phone told me that I don't have to reserve that we can come in. My party of 10 got there around 4 p.m. and we entered letting them know that we were here and it turns out that there was a waiting time! They estimated about 30 to 45 minutes, So we've waited and decided to walk the stores and kill time. Once time passed by we went back to see if our table was ready and one of the employees had said that we needed to wait another 15 minutes because the table wasn't ready, so again here we are waiting another 15 minutes to get seated. Time was up and we asked again and then they told us to wait another 10 minutes because supposedly they were cleaning the table. Ten minutes passed by and we asked again and they gave us another 15 minute wait. Then 5 minutes passed by and one of the employees come out and tells us that she knows we waited this long and the table we were waiting for is still occupied. LIKE REALLY?? You clearly said it was getting cleaned 30 minutes ago and you come out saying this. Now this is ridiculous knowing the fact that we waited so long and for one of us to look inside and see that there was a lot of empty tables especially a big one where we can all fit. Keep in mind I have a one year old daughter and it makes me really mad having to wait this long just to feed her some pizza. Once we all got seated there was like 4 employees chatting, empty tables.. the place wasn't even busy and they really made us wait out there for like 2 hours!!! I'm a former Supervisor and I have worked with food service for many years and never in my life have I ever put some one in this situation. Especially a party of 10!! My mom did speak up and told the manager what we just went through and she tried to fixing this situation by giving us 2 free Cesar Salads which was nice of her but I honestly think that wasn't enough. Now with this being said, YES the food was delicious and our waitress was a nice young lady BUT I WON'T BE COMING BACK ESPECIALLY TO THIS LOCATION. If HR could reach out to me, I will be very happy to talk about my...
Read moreI walked in and the employee at the front desk didn’t even acknowledge me. Another guests table was ready and they cut right in front of me and again the girl acknowledged them first and then after seating them came back. I told her I had a to go order and she told me I needed to pickup at the bar. I go the bar and this is around 2:30 pm the employee there looks up my order on their device and says my order will be ready at 2:54 pm just like the app says. She didn’t bother to check the warmer which had several pizza boxes and there was a salad out on the counter. So I just awkwardly stand there wondering if I should wait there or at the two stools by the front door. So after standing by the front door and watching towards the bar I head back at around 2:50. She then opens the warmer and pulls out those same pizza boxes that have been there and the salad that was on the counter. So I say, so the pizza has been ready the whole time? She says no they just brought them and i tried looking for you. I said no they didn’t and I’ve been standing by the front door the entire time. She was just standing around the bar the entire time. I saw her take another man’s order, his pizza came out and she gave it to him. I saw everything she was doing. So then she says where were you and I point and she’s like I can’t see you there and I said I can see you, if I can see you when I’m standing right in front of the door I’m sure you can see me. Then she mumbles something and tells me her manager is right there and I can talk to her. So the manager tells her to go get some ice and she straight up told her NO. She did not want to walk away from the bar. I felt that she was ready to lay hands on me. There is no reason to act this way. I am actually doing her a favor by ordering my food to go. It was very unprofessional and even more so that she refused to do what the manager was telling her to do. She was argumentative with me because she did not think I was watching her the entire time. Not once did she look around the bar or towards the front of the restaurant to look for me. She is a liability waiting to happen. This was 8/10/25...
