Going at this review from a different take. I love JJ’s and have been a consistent fan for at least the past 10 years as they have always been prompt in their service and delivery. Had a different experience on 2/28 when I ordered delivery and waited a little over an hour for my food. At first, I was upset that this institution of consistency had “wronged” me in not being complaint to their freaky fast business motto. I did the normal thing a whiny customer would do and called the store to get an update and huffed in displeasure when they told me they were down to 1 delivery driver and it would be some time until I got my food. Now, I was relatively close to JJ’s and could’ve easily drove to the restaurant and saved the trouble of having a driver meet me at the location I was at. However, I opted for lazy and decided it would be more convenient to have the food delivered with the expectation of the food being freaky fast. I eventually got my food from the driver, and I noticed that this driver was running to location I was at, not walking, but running. The driver apologized to me for the wait and went about their day. At this moment I realized that, obviously, this wasn’t the drivers fault nor was it the restaurants fault. We all are facing challenges in our lives brought upon us by external factors that we have no bearing over, and we could all afford to be more empathic to one another. At the end of the day, the driver and the restaurant are probably facing staff shortages and other challenges that hinder their operations. What does my complaining and moaning do to help them be more efficient? Nothing at all. To wrap up this long winded review, I ask that before you go and trash a sandwich place for getting your order wrong, or causing a minor inconvenience in your life. Last weekend, I order 2 sandwiches for lunch. An hour goes by and I hear nothing and no movement on the app as far as delivery. I call and they say the delivery driver is busy. Another 45 minutes go by so I call and cancel.
Today, thinking it was an anomaly, I order the exact same two meals at 1230. See it’s out for delivery at 130, not ideal but it’s on the way. 45 minutes later, nothing. I call to see what’s going on, guy who answers says the delivery driver had one order and left an hour ago, he’ll call them, see what’s going on, and call me right back. 10 minutes go by and a different person calls and says the other guy that I just talked to shift just ended (weird) but he was aware of the situation. The delivery person forgot my order but they were going to remake it (since it’s been 2 hours) and it’ll be here in 20 minutes. 30 minutes have gone by, It’s now been 2 hours 45 minutes, 3:15pm (not busy). No call, no update, nothing.
I’m not sure who’s in charge but whoever is managing this place and whoever is employed to deliver is doing an atrocious job. I’m convinced they don’t have a delivery driver and just want to cancel so I’m going to wait it out this time out of principle.

Read moreI always put online orders for the convenience of getting my orders quicker. Today is a different story. I put my order in at 12:06pm. Order was received at 12:07pm. I called in around 12:30pm to see what was going on. It usually takes about 20 minutes to get my order from the time I submit it on the app. They said they had no drivers available. My order was not out for delivery until 12:49pm. At 1:07pm, exactly an hour when my order was received, I called again because it had been 18 minutes since my order left for delivery. They said it will be 5 minutes for delivery. It's been 10 minutes and still nothing. I had wasted my entire lunch hour waiting for what is advertised as freaky fast delivery. More like freaky slow. Been 70 minutes now. Canceled my order. Never getting delivery from here again. Also, my work is only 4 minutes away. I would've picked it up, but I am currently having car troubles which is why I opted for delivery instead. Never again.
Update: Called again and they said the driver just came back in and delivered it. I was waiting at the front and it never got here. How did he deliver it and where because I never saw anyone. I asked the receptionist and she never saw any deliveries come in. So who got my food. Looks like someone got free lunch today. I even put the name of the business. You have to be very special to screw...
