(updated 7/18/19) I wrote the review below this one of Jared The Galleria of Jewelry a couple of months ago, the review below was a 1 star review (only because I had to give it a star to write anything). The 1 star review was specific the the RIM location in San Antonio. This is an update and is specific to the PARK NORTH LOCATION and specifically one person and his team, names of which I do not know. Shawn, the GM at the PARK NORTH Location read my review hours after I posted in and not knowing my name or phone number began researching service tickets to try to determine who had written the review. I wrote the review at about 4 am, maybe earlier after being up crying and being furious most of the night. By 9:00 (before HIS store opened) he had found my husband's name and number and reached out to see how he could help even though it was not his store. Fast forward to today, I just left Jared at PARK NORTH after working with Shawn to fix my ring. I won't go in to all the amazing steps and obstacles he went through to fix a wrong that went well beyond what I expected. He was honest, forthright, professional, caring, recognized the value (not monetary, but rather sentimental) and worked diligently these last two months to actually deliver the ring that my husband worked so hard to buy me. I picked it up today, shedding a few tears at how amazingly beautiful it looked and with a restored faith in humans. This man is a 'gem' and has a true understanding of what integrity and doing the right thing is. I will be forever grateful to this amazing human. Thank you Shawn, from the bottom of our hearts. As a side note: The RIM never responded or made an effort to reach out to us after my initial review (noted below), having been service by them and making purchases from THE RIM location for the last 13 years, they placed no value on our business. We will NEVER go to the store again, and quite honestly won't work with anyone but Shawn at PARK NORTH. Jared has an asset in this wonderful human and my hope is that they recognize/realize this and never let this amazing man out of their family. He is the only reason we would consider working with Jared again. Please read below to understand the scenario that unfolded.
The quality of workmanship at the Rim location is horrifying. My diamond setting, yes, you read it right, the diamond SETTING completely fell out of my wedding ring in October 2018 and was lost forever. Jared did replace the diamond, took them until January 2019 to return my wedding ring with the replacement diamond. It was due for inspection in March of 2019 in which they found a crack in one of my diamonds surrounding the center stone. They replaced that. Yesterday my diamond setting FELL OUT again. Literally fell out of my ring and landed on our deck floor outside. This is twice in 8 months that my setting fell completely out of my ring. I also have a diamond tennis bracelet, diamond fell out of that. I have many pieces from Jared that my husband has bought me over the years. Most of these I am scared to wear because I am afraid they will break and be lost forever. We'll have to get my ring repaired AGAIN, and I likely won't be able to wear it. My husband bought me a second ring from DIAMOND'S DIRECT that I can wear. They have quality workmanship. Shame on Jared...
Read moreI have used Jared’s for many special occasions, and your associates never fail to go above and beyond for us. From engagements, weddings, and other occasions, the jewelry specialists are so helpful and engaging. My most recent experience was when I needed to take in my wedding set to be serviced. I have wanted to upgrade my solitaire for a few years but have never had the time to do it myself. My wife dropped off my set to be serviced, and unknown to me, she and jewelry specialist Olivia K put together a sweet plan to surprise me with an upgraded solitaire. We had just driven in from Houston, and my wife told me that my ring was ready for pickup and that the store was on our way home. Now, I was grumpy and tired and didn't want to stop. However, we stopped under the caveat that I could relax in the car. While waiting, I was asked to come inside to try on the ring to verify it fit; when I went in, Olivia continued with the charade and handed me a box. When I opened it, there placed perfectly was a beautiful upgraded solitaire. My first response was, “This isn't my ring,” as I thought there must've been a mixup. At that moment, Olivia told me it was mine and said surprise. It was such a beautiful moment, and Olivia didn't have to participate in it, but she turned a tiring and stressful day into a magical moment I won't forget. Sometimes, the small moments in life bring you the most joy, and it was an absolute pleasure meeting Olivia K. May you always have associates with the professionalism and values that Olivia K possesses, we will definitely be back because of her...
Read moreAbout a year ago I had a necklace turned into 3 bracelet and purchased a ring for my wife. That process was seamless price points were good and bracelets came out great. My son lost his within a few months so I returned to have another made with the remaining necklace. I was quoted triple of what it took to have all 3 made. When I asked why the price trippled I was direcred to the manager (short haired lady) who was very rude about the whole ordeal. First she didn't believe me about what I spent on the 3 bracelets and once she found my order said I was priced wrong. She seemed annoyed that I would be asking the question and she made me feel like I was waisting her time. I decided to not leave a review at the time because it was around the holidays and she seemed very stressed and our previous encounter was not a bad one. Fast-forward to today... came to ask if I purchased a protection plan for my wife's ring because the pearl fell out. The lady helping me was really nice and although I didn't purchase the warranty she decided to check with the jeweler to see if a new pearl could be fitted. That's when the manager (same lady) came up and ask her"whats going on" As the lady tried to explain that she was going to see if they could add a new pearl the manager cut her off and rudly said" he has to pay for it". The manager cutting her off was uncalled for and a reflection of her poor service and management. We will not...
