I like to stop by this Sonic in the mornings few times a week after swim practices and I have never experienced consistent, negative service at any other fast food I've been to. These are a couple of the experiences I've had here in the past summer ... I often order with the app (lets not even get into how you can order 15 mins ahead and still wait some time) and just today they screwed up my slush order without explaination and they ran out of onion rings. It would be fine except when the carhop promised a replacement of the rings with mozzarella sticks, they forgot I was even there and I would've just drove off if I hadn't already paid for my rings, but I had to remind them kindly that I was there for almost 20 minutes waiting for replacement food. They open at 8AM (This was a Thursday) and usually my practice in the morning ends before that and I like to wait for when Sonic opens to get a well-deserved slush on my way home from swim practice. I know its annoying for a customer to show up early and expect service (I wasn't and was just waiting for it to open) however, at 8:30 the manager literally walks in 30 minutes past open time and when my order was already gone through on the app, he told me the store wasn't open yet (b.s). He did end up giving me my order but I don't think I believe him over google maps and the Sonic App that the store didnt open till later. The last problem I'm gonna complain about is the general terrible service everytime I go there. I can't even think of a time where my order was right when my order got more complex than 1 item... I mean come on, it really seems to me the employees don't want customers. Whenever I order ahead (even a just a fountain drink) they will make me wait as if I used the order kiosks. At this point I only use the app for the 1/2 off drinks while expecting to wait as if I didn't prepare to order ahead 🙃.
That being said, today was my last time at this Sonic even though I've told myself that many times and I just recommend another Sonic location or fast food altogether. I hate to complain online about employees just trying to make it through everyday, but it isn't hard to put minimal effort for customer...
Read moreLet me first start by saying I love Sonic. Usually their food is good. Yesterday my daughter and I were downtown San Antonio and wanted to eat on our way back home. We both got burgers and tater tots. The first problem was it took forever even the girl that brought the food out apologize for the very long wait. Find whatever not a huge deal I finally got my food. We start to eat are tater tots and they are cold I asked my daughter how hers are and she says yes they're cold. I can't do cold tater tots that's just gross so I got the attention of one of the attendants and said hey I need some fresh tater tots these are cold and I gave them back to her. As she was going to get fresh tater tots I've started to get my hamburger out. The hamburgers were cold as well. Again I cannot do cold hamburger. So I got their attention again complained about the cold hamburger they had to go make another one. I really should have just got my money back because at this point I was not trusting that the hamburger would be fresh. I should have just cut my losses and ate something when I got home. They brought me another hamburger the rapper was sure hot I'm guessing from sitting under the heat lamp but the hamburger was still not hot and did not seem fresh but at that point I was not going to send it back so I just did not eat any more of it. I have never been to that location but I was not at all happy with anything except for my cherry limeade. I definitely will not go back to that location. Read moreWish I could give a half star. First I love Sonic and it is my go to place to stop and grab a bite but this is the first time I've stopped at this location. I took my wife and son there yesterday and ordered a Large Snickers blast, a large order of tots and a large chili cheese fries. The person who took our order didn't put the order back on the screen so I could pay with a card then told me they would bring out a pad that they could use at the car so I could pay. This was fine no big deal. Fast forward about 15 minutes and a young man walks out to our car not wearing a Sonic shirt and hands me a bag with the chili cheese fries not covered very wells and having leaked out into the bag and the tots were just tossed in and now they were poured out in the bag and had chili on them as well and the Snickers blast cup was cut on the side or something as there was a hole in the side of the cup. The young man wanted me to hand him my credit card that he would then take inside and bring back to me (never a good idea folks, no telling hat someone will do with your card). When I asked him where his pad was to swipe my card at the car he looked suprised and said "I don't know" then after seeing the shape my order was in I just asked "what happened here" and his response was....you guessed it 'I don't know". This was the worst experience I've ever had at a Sonic which is why I'm writing this report. There are several Sonics not that far away from this one and I highly recommend you try them out.
