We arrived at 6:30pm and was told it would be a 30 minute wait for a table. While waiting in the parking lot we saw a table not cleaned it took them 20 minutes to bus and wipe it down. At 7:10pm I received a text message indicating that out table was ready. We then approached the hostess for her to tell us we needed to wait still as the table was not ready yet. Finally we get seated at 7:20pm. We had multiple servers and staff walk by us without even say hello. At 7:40pm we finally were able to order drinks and an appetizer. At 7:55pm the "Crispy" calamari came out. The Calimari was cold to the touch and was still uncooked. The batter wasn't fried enough so you could taste the dough. We sent it back and they brought out a second plate of Calimari with no change. Then finally brought out our drinks. The second attempt on the Calamari was also under cooked and cold to the touch. My wife ordered the prime rib special with asparagus and white cheddar mashed potatoes and asked for a rare center cut. I ordered the ribeye rare with a "loaded" baked potato and steamed broccoli. Her prime rib cut was rare on one side and brown on the other as if it sat under a heat lamp to long and then flipped over. The inside of the prime rib once cut open was well done. Her asparagus looked as if it was baby asparagus. We sent her plate back the waitress indicated that the prime rib couldn't get any rarer on the cook. My wife then got the tri tip rare without sauce. When that plate arrived it was smothered in BBQ sauce. The cut of meat was at least cooked to the correct temperature but was covered in sauce when we said no sauce. My ribeye steak was cooked to perfection but had no seasoning on it. My sides were very disappointing. The broccoli was ice cold and border line raw. The "loaded" baked potato had cheese and a sprinkle of bacon. I asked for two sides of sour cream and butter to beef up my potato. I asked two different servers for salt and pepper that never arrived. They brought out our soup with our meals instead of before as we requested. My wife had the cheddar broccoli soup and I had the new england clam chowder. The broccoli soup had tiny flakes of broccoli so I just cut mine up and added it to her soup. My new england clam chowder came out great the perfect balance of clams to potatoes. The bread bowl was crispy and was the highlight of the meal. I was very upset with the lack of service and the time it took to get a drink. It's sad when the soup and bread were the highlight of our meal. To add to the experience the tent was blowing into our faces the entire time. I did enjoy the beer flight I ordered. If we ever go again it will only be for bread bowl...

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my experience at BJ’s in San Bernardino was so disappointing that I feel the need to share. I came here to celebrate my friend's birthday, hoping for a good time—but instead, we were met with unacceptable service from a server named Esteven.

From the start, Esteven was rude and dismissive. When I politely asked if we could switch the dessert from the chocolate chip option he initially suggested to the Snickers one, he acted like I was speaking a different language. He told me he couldn’t understand me and, rather than asking for clarification, decided on his own to just bring whatever he wanted. That alone was incredibly unprofessional—but unfortunately, it didn’t stop there.

Esteven was inattentive throughout the meal and completely lacked any sense of hospitality. At one point, he even told me that I was “the worst customer ever,” which is not only disrespectful but completely uncalled for—especially considering I was nothing but polite throughout the interaction.

To be clear: I didn’t come in looking for a free meal. I’m a restaurant manager myself and understand how it feels when people try to take advantage of the system. This is not one of those situations. I paid my bill in full and even left Esteven a generous tip despite his terrible attitude, simply to make it clear that this was not about getting anything for free—I just wanted a good birthday experience for my friend. Unfortunately, Esteven’s rudeness and lack of professionalism ruined it.

I sincerely hope management addresses this issue and works on improving customer service at this location, because no one should be treated the way we were—especially when celebrating a special occasion. I don’t have even words to express out my experience here. He should not be a server here, the restaurant is amazing but he ruined the whole experience. We needed to leave very disappointed. I had another concept of this...

Wow, I'm super surprised with service I received yesterday. I am a regular here.. my boyfriend & I come at least once a week. We usually sit at the bar & are served by Tim (HE IS HE BEST BARTENDER)!!! However, last night I went to the take out side & paced an order since the app wasn't working. Two younger males were standing up front, I was not greeted with a hello or anything. They immediately ran away then finally came back up. I could barely hear what the kid was saying when he took my order. He told me it would be about 15 min (it ended up being 30) so then me and my boyfriend went to the bar while we were waiting. I approached a really nice young blonde woman who was on her laptop (I am assuming she was management) & told her how we placed a pickup order but would like to sit at the bar in the meantime while it gets ready. I did have a pazookie in the order so I asked if they can hold it in the back so it doesn't melt, she said no problem & to just let the bartender know. The bartenders working unfortunately weren't Tim, but a younger man with black hair and a very older woman... I told the older women our situation & that we wanted a drink while we wait. I was immediately met with attitude. She told me "well what you need to do is wait for your order to be ready then you can come sit at the bar" I said "well the young woman over there just said you can hold it in the back for us" she said "well she's mistaken, you can grab your order then come over here I guess" keep in mind this was said with an EXTREMLY rude tone. I got up and left without saying a word. I could not believe how rude this woman was. We are regulars, we tip VERY well, and are extremely polite. We give this place tons of business & have paid plenty of strangers bills at the bar. I am so disappointed & if I ever do return, it will be to see Tim only. Do not recommend unless...

BJ’s San Bernardino – A Tale of High Hopes and Cold Pizzas "Come hungry, leave disappointed." That sums up my latest visit to BJ’s in San Bernardino, and it's a shame to say that this was my second letdown here. As I walked in, I should have heeded the song in the waiting area — "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger" (thanks, Kelly Clarkson) — but the allure of a free Pizookie drew me in. At first, things started smoothly. Our server took our drink orders within 15 minutes, and appetizers arrived another 15 minutes later. We ordered a mix of items: two pizzas, nachos, a steak with fries, and a jalapeño burger. Shortly after, the shift change began, and that’s when things started going downhill. Our entrées took an excruciating 45 minutes to arrive, only to land on our table cold. Not warm-ish — genuinely cold, like they had been sitting out as long as we had. The server delivering them faked carrying a “hot,” plate, but the refrigerator-cold tomatoes on the pizza begged to differ. My kids barely batted an eye as they tucked into their cold food; I guess school lunch has prepped them well for suboptimal meals (that’s another story). For $25 a plate, the experience simply didn’t match the price tag. Sure, the manager came over and knocked about $30 off the bill after we complained, but it didn’t quite erase the disappointment. To be fair, both servers were polite and tried their best, but they were clearly overwhelmed — and a shift change in the middle of our meal added to the chaos. The facilities didn’t help the case either. Both the bathrooms and outdoor areas seemed poorly maintained, which only reinforced the overall sense that this BJ’s has lost its luster. Hopefully, they’ll get their act together soon. As for me, I’ll give them one last try in a year — fingers crossed for a warmer, cleaner experience.

Update 7/17: got in touch with the manager of the restaurant who promised a refund...yea no refund 🤣 what a joke! I checked my bank statements too. Imagine running a business this way. . . Don't waste your time, energy or money. We ordered online and went to pick it up. We also checked in when we pulled in, and nobody came out to help us. We called the number on the sign and was left on hold after telling the person we were there for pickup. The person bringing us our food pushed our order through our window and walked away without saying anything - and I was still on hold. Please BJs pay these people more so they aren't stressed out!! I contacted the restaurant for a refund and it's been weeks with zero contact. Look how awful our food looks for the prices they charge. The flatbread was shook up in the box, cold, and the cheese sticks were also cold and hard as a rock. You know when you crave an item and it ends up tasting gross? This is that meal. Fish and chips were cold, soggy and greasy. The location in Moreno Valley is much better. Drive through reche canyon, and eat better at the BJs over there in Moval. Edit: Original order placed on May 27, and my review posted June 16. I emailed that address (same address I was given to contact weeks ago) let's go on a journey people 🥴
