We have visited First Watches all over the US and always had a pleasant experience with good food and service. That was not the case with this one. We were seated immediately, but that also began the problems. When we were taken to be seated I asked if we could sit at another place due to my medical problems and sitting at the table she chose would cause me terrible pain due to the chair type. The girl just rolled her eyes at me. We should have left right then but I so wanted to eat that we overlooked it. After being seated it took forever for the server to come. When she did come she seemed agitated. She took the drink orders and it took 10 minutes to get water and coffee. Then instead of her taking our food orders when she brought the drinks she just put them on the table and walked off. Second clue that we should have left. Again we waited for another 10 minutes for her to return. She took our food orders and we had to repeat them twice. I don't know if she wasn't listening or just didn't care because now you could tell for sure that she didn't want to be there. We waited for over 30 minutes to get bacon, eggs and toast. Then when the food came they had basically drowned the toast in butter which I had asked her to leave off. Due to medical problems I could not eat this. I looked for the server but she was no where to be found? After another 10 minutes and my food getting cold I finally stopped the next server who went by and asked for her help. She was very nice and apologized and took the toast to replace it. About 2 minutes later our original server came back and was very rude and defensive towards me about the toast. After my "scolding" from her she walked off. I have never been more shocked or appalled. She then returned with unbuttered toast and slammed it on the table. After all of this I asked her to please send over the manager. She stared to argue with me. So instead of arguing back I just motioned for the hostess who sent over the manager. When he arrived I explained the situation to him and he was nice and apologized. I told him i no longer felt comfortable with our waitress serving us and asked for a new server. He obliged. We ate our food, mine now cold, and we left. Will never return again! Hopefully the server was retrained and now treats customers with the respect ...

If you’re anywhere near the Gulf Coast Town Center in Fort Myers and in search of a breakfast or brunch spot that delivers on all fronts—look no further than First Watch. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, seated promptly, and treated to an experience that exceeded expectations in every category—food, service, and atmosphere.
Let’s start with the service—the true highlight of our visit. Our server, Anthony, deserves a standing ovation. He was attentive without hovering, friendly without being overbearing, and somehow always there when we needed something without us ever having to ask. It’s rare to experience service this smooth and intuitive—Anthony is a pro, and he elevated our meal to something special.
The atmosphere at First Watch is everything you want in a modern breakfast eatery—bright, relaxed, and welcoming, with a clean and thoughtfully designed space that lets the food and service shine.
Now for the food—simply outstanding. I ordered the Avocado Omelette, and I’m still thinking about it. Fluffy eggs wrapped around perfectly ripe avocado, crispy bacon, and a dollop of sour cream made for a flavor-packed bite every time. The real surprise, though, was the side salad—a refreshing, crisp mix dressed in an unforgettable oil and lemon dressing that was tangy, balanced, and completely addictive. It was the perfect complement to the richness of the omelette.
From start to finish, our visit to First Watch was top-notch all the way. This is the kind of place you find yourself coming back to again and again—not just for the food, but for the genuine hospitality and polished execution.
Highly, highly, highly recommend stopping by. Ask for Anthony if you can—you won’t regret it. 👏

Read moreWhen I arrived the place was pretty busy and we were told it would be about 30 minutes before we were seated. However, they were able to open up some seating for us and we only had to wait about 10 minutes instead. The waitress was nice and friendly and was able to handle our table well, even though there were 10 of us. The food came out in a proper amount of time for the busyness and size of our table. The food was good and there were no real errors in anyone’s order. The only issues that we had were that my daughter had to wait a little bit of time for her side of pancakes and we had to ask to make sure that it was not forgotten. Lastly, the only other issue that we had is that near the end of our meal it seemed like our server disappeared. I am not sure if she was on break or her shift ended, but near the end of our meal we had to start asking other staff for boxes for leftovers and refills. Overall it was a nice meal, but I know that I have had better service from First Watch in the past and it will not prevent me from going in the future. I hoping this is the exception and not the rule for...
