Jane Anzelc is a gifted Thai massage therapist. I would give her more than 5 stars if that were possible. I came to her barely able to walk after I injured my lower back. As a matter of fact I was fearful I would not be able to do yoga anymore, lift weights or even bend over to tie my shoe laces.
Jane has a vast knowledge of how the body works. She is impeccably professional, very caring and does an amazing job. She is very intuitive in finding stress points and working on them until they release. Wow! Is she good? Her care and skill was most effective in getting me back on my feet.
I gained valuable insight into my own symptoms and how to deal with them. She suggested stretching exercises and asked me to be aware of when I tighten my muscles. Within a matter of weeks and after 5 sessions, I was able to go about my daily tasks without hobbling around.
Jane’s skill, knowledge and experience were invaluable to me. Her approach to healing is holistic, integrated and very effective. It is hard for me to find adequate words to describe my gratitude to Jane for relieving the chronic pain that almost crippled me. I highly recommend Jane because of her skill, insights and care – they are extensive and very impressive – she...
Read moreThe experience started off well with them handing me a piece of paper with a diagram for me to identify my pain points. When I requested regular deep tissue (without any silly bone cracking), the lady eagerly suggested I do traditional Thai massage --where they walk on your back-- because regular deep tissue with the arms "wouldn't be as good." I felt I was being upsold but was feeling generous and figured I'd give them a chance. Once the session started, the masseuse seemed way more interested in using me as a guinea pig for various techniques versus actually seeing where I needed attention. Not once did she ask if she was going too hard (she was) or too fast (she was) even though she had plenty of time in a 60 min session. Her final bone cracking move actually tweaked the left side of my neck a little which didn't go away until a couple of days later. When I came out of the room the lady at the front was full of smiles and asked me to go and leave a 5 star review, as if she knew I had just had the time of my life. They could really use a bit of self-awareness here. A lesser man wouldn't have bothered to tip but I did anyway, because even though I won't return I...
Read moreI was visiting San Diego and felt like getting a massage. I have never had a Thai massage in my life but I decided to try it. First, both the massage style itsel (way different from a traditional massage) and my masseuse, Casey, were AMAZING. I am a larger woman and not used to yoga-like positions and intense stretching. Casey had me do things I didn't know my body could do. He seemed very intuitive as he never took me past what I could handle but he certainly pushed me to the edge. I felt wonderful afterward. The icing on the cake? I was meeting someone right after my massage who wanted to "go for a walk" before having dinner together. The walk ended up being a 5 mile roundtrip hike. I was absolutely certain that I had taken my body to its limits and would pay for it by being sore from head to toe and barely able to move the next day. Instead, I woke up feeling fantastic. That 5 mile walk pushed me to start walking 5 miles a day once I got home -- all because of Casey's wonderful Thai massage. I highly recommend Thai massage,...
