I’m not one to write negative reviews. Everyone slips up but this was the worst massage experience of my life from the customer service down to the actual massage quality.
I called to book an appointment and when I arrived at my appointment time the staff looked confused like they were not expecting an appointment. They were obviously not prepared but took me back anyways (without asking what kind of massage I wanted, how long, etc.)
I was given an hour long full body massage that seemed like the standard Swedish type. The masseuse had his PHONE on the massage bed the whole time and was receiving notifications that would vibrate right next to my ear. He would take one hand off my back and check the notification while continuing to massage me with the other hand. It felt like it might have been the first massage he had ever given. I understand everyone starts somewhere, but that’s not exactly what I wanted to spend my hard earned money on. I could’ve asked everyone for a massage and it would have been comparable. Because I was never asked what I wanted, he focused a lot with too much pressure on areas I didn’t need to be focused on and completely skipped over the areas that I was actually feeling needed a massage. I actually felt worse coming out than I did walking in.
The whole experience was weird and uncomfortable and when I got to the front to pay , I was charged more than was advertised and encouraged to tip handsomely while my masseuse was standing right there (awkward).
I was so dissatisfied that I actually called the owner afterwards to complain instead of writing a negative review online and affecting future business, but the owner was incredibly rude. She told me it was my fault for sitting through the whole massage and offered me a $5 credit toward my next massage. I told her I didn’t want to return and would prefer a partial refund instead and she told me she won’t do that and hung up.
Overall a bad experience. I don’t recommend this place at all. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else that will actually...
Read moreThere is no way this place has 4 stars legitimately. It definitely seems like this place is running game. I walk in and there’s no one at the desk, so I wait until someone approaches me. I ask for a 30-minute massage, but she doesn’t speak English. She points to the 60-minute massage on the menu on the wall. “No, 30,” I say. She points to 60-minutes again. “Okay, yeah.” Longer than I wanted but at this point I just wanted to get this moving. She takes me to a back room and says “60.” “Yes, 60 minute,” I say. She holds out her hand, “60.” “60… cash? Wait, now?” At this point someone interrupts us. She speaks to the woman that I was previously dealing with in Chinese. It’s the second woman that asks, “You want a massage?” IS THAT NOT WHY I’M IN THIS ROOM? Anyhow, she puts me in another room where I get a massage from a third woman. I bucket massages into three categories: The person knows what they’re doing and is actively paying attention to how your muscles respond and can address issues that you have. They know what they’re doing, but they’re on autopilot. They were taught a routine and their goal is to beat your muscles into submission while doing said routine. This massage was the third. There was a point when my body spasms and she says, “You don’t like hard?” I mean, hard was fine until you poked your elbow into my sciatic nerve. And then when it came time to settle up, she asked me what I wanted to charge. Which is shady as hell. Let me tip in peace. I told her to add $15, but she was confused. “Total $75.” “I do this,” she says, the types something in and shows me. She charged me more. At this point I just want to get the hell out of here, so I sign off and leave. This place is 100% a scam. Do not, for the love of...
Read moreTerrible experience at this "brothel-esque" massage location. I went here because it is right next to my chiropractors office. Before starting the sessions I informed them that I was going to use my medical insurance to pay for the service.
I paid at the front desk and was lead to the room by this rude pushy woman who barely spoke English. While inside I noticed this place looked more akin to a brothel than a reputable massage office. I received my massage, while it was "OK" the whole thing felt very rushed from beginning to end. At the end I was rudely asked by the woman how much I was going to tip her, I told her I am sorry I don't have any cash on me but I could leave a tip at the front desk using my card. She uncomfortably escorted me to the front desk and hovered over me as I paid her additional monies. After this experience I already told myself I wouldn't come back.
I then informed them that I was going to submit this claim to my insurance. I asked them for their massage person's name and license#. The front desk lady looked very nervous and said that she will have to get back to me via phone (I noticed they had several therapist license certificates behind the front desk but wasn't allowed to view them).
I left the establishment and never heard back from them. I had to go back an additional 2 times to try to get the information but to no avail. At the end I was never given the name or license# to make an insurance claim. I told them I would share my experience online, the front desk lady immediately became loud and rude and said that it wasn't their fault. I told them I wasn't their to argue and walked to my car. As I walked to my car I could hear loud cursing in Chinese.
This nasty...
