Came here on a Sunday for a cup of coffee. My friend had said she visited a year or so ago and the coffee was excellent. I had to experience it for myself. When we arrived there were a few people there but plenty of seats. I loved the area...both hard and soft seating. I also loved all the windows. Such a great place to relax and take the time to enjoy what they had to offer. There was a board in front of the register with some seasonal specials they were offering, including a peppermint mocha drink. I usually don't order flavored coffees but it was the holiday season and the peppermint mocha sounded amazing. I was a bit hesitant ordering this flavor because the flavored coffees I have experienced in the past are usually "chemical/artifical" tasting and way too sweet. I ordered it anyways with oat milk. It came out in about 5 minutes in a to go cup. When ordering they never asked if we wanted it to go or not. My friend is a "coffee snob" (said with love and respect) and she always claims that coffee is always better sipped from a mug and not a to go cup. We requested the drink to be put in a mug. The barista didn't seem inconvenienced by the request and was very friendly and accommodating in doing that.

So the taste.... It was filled with flavor and not too sweet. In fact, the flavor tasted like real peppermint and the drink itself had just enough sweetness for my palate. I have to say I was impressed and thoroughly enjoyed my coffee. I would absolutely recommend this place for all you "coffee snobs", and plain ole coffee drinkers like myself, to stop by for a cup. The 2nd bird rock I visited in SD - and by far my favourite. Near the beach, large seating area and really clean. I feel like this is their tier-1 level shop compared to the others, and feels like a shared office place (e.g. wework, spaces, etc). 5/5 for space and location.

Got a nitro cold brew and it was meh. Won't lie, Starbucks is kinda the bar and it didn't meet that bar. Was a bit disapointing - it was too muted and a bit more floral and sour than I felt it should be. Maybe that's just me - but its my review right? 3/5 for the nitro cold brew.

They had a good selection of treats and pretty interesting chocolate selections....
