Civic Center Cafe — Restaurant in San Diego

I used to love this place but in recent months the food quality has not been the same. I stopped getting food here because it's either not prepared as asked or ingredients changed. Example, I ask for sourdough toast with butter. The bread is never toasted anymore and just blob of butter on it. I'll see the girls at the register selecting toasted but it doesn't to the cook i guess. Their potato soup used to be thicker also. Last one I got was so watery and the potatoes were hard. I'm really sad because I used to love this place and it was so convenient, but wasting my money is not something I want to keep doing. The girls at the registrar are...

Everytime I try a Breakfast Bowl, I hope it will taste better than the last. That's never the case. The Med Bowl is full of salty explosions from the feta and kalamata olives, and then the potatoes are dry and unsalted, and the eggs are unsalted. It's just not good. Also, the black sesame seeds always confuse me as they are crunchy, and I can't tell if I'm eating eggshells or sesame seeds.

The oatmeal, while HUGE, is not cooked long enough. I always have to add water to it.

Just not a good breakfast...
