Great Tea, But a Persistent Problem for Families My family and I have been fans of Daboba for a while now, really enjoying their delicious tea and the general ambiance. However, our last three or four visits have been consistently overshadowed by a major issue: the restroom has been "out of order" every single time. With three little kids all under six years old, a readily available and functional restroom isn't just convenient, it's absolutely essential for us. Having to pack up our little ones and head next door to the Thai restaurant to ask for a favor has become a frustrating and awkward routine. It's not only inconvenient but also a bit embarrassing to constantly rely on the generosity of another business. While I understand that things can break, the fact that the "out of order" sign has been up for what feels like a significant amount of time, across multiple visits, makes me seriously question whether there's any real attempt to fix it. It's starting to feel less like a temporary malfunction and more like a permanent lack of service. It's a genuine shame, because we truly do appreciate the tea and the overall experience at Daboba. But this ongoing bathroom problem is a huge deterrent for our family. Until this fundamental issue is addressed and resolved, we'll have to think twice before choosing Daboba as our tea spot. A clean, accessible, and operational restroom is a basic expectation for any establishment, especially one that caters to families with...
Read moreThere’s a first time for everything, and for me this was my first boba experience. I welcomed the opportunity to attend the soft opening of “Daboba Rancho Bernardo” and finally begin my boba education.
I had only hazy presumptions to work with, so other than a beverage with some kind of globules to draw up through a widened straw, my expectations were mostly a blank canvas.
I was provided a “Brown Sugar Pearl Choco” and I was both surprised and satisfied. It reminded me remotely of a Chocolate milkshake, but it was not nearly as sweet. While I suspected that the boba would be flavorless, I was mistaken. It provided a slightly complimentary flavor and its texture reminded me of chewing gum, except that it actually dissolved in my mouth (rather than breaking down over the course of “7 years” in my stomach 😉).
I was surprised by the number of boba flavor series’ available (with multiple variations within each for you to choose from) and that apparently you have the opportunity to customize the sugar level for your order.
I enjoyed my first boba and with my maiden voyage now safely behind me I am ready to set sail for new and exciting boba destinations!
And that’s…Henry’s...
Read moreDecided to beat the Monday blues and take my daughter out to Daboba this evening. We went around 6:15 and it was perfect timing there were a few people in the store but it wasn't super busy. There is plenty of seating inside and it is a warm inviting space. The staff was polite and we received our drinks fairly quickly
I ordered the Roasted Brown Sugar Pearl Choco, they asked if I would like any modifications and I said I would take it however they suggested. My drink was delicious. The boba was soft with a bit of a chew and little crunchy pieces of brown sugar. The Choco milk was the perfect mix of creamy, rich, and sweetness.
I purchased a drink for my daughter, she was going to go with a standard milk tea but decided to go with the same as I did and in her words, it was "the best drink she has ever had!" Out of the different boba and drink places we have been to I agree, this was hands down one...
