Horrid place, so my gf and her son & step daughter pulled in at 4pm on Sat Nov 12, 2016 ( with 4 month grandbaby in stroller) place is empty, great as we wanna shoot pool, order beers and proceed to play, half way into second game the female bartender ( zippo personality ) yells over the counter " YOU have to leave " we say what's wrong, what is wrong? She then say's, I got a text from the owner and watched you on cam and you can't have a baby in here or we will get fined $6,000.00 So my gf and the grand baby moma say, wow ok, how odd. ( they have gone out in PB plenty. So the gals say you guy's finish the game we will go outside and wait. I then go up to the super young and dumb bartender ( she seams the whole of 19) and mention to her, that she should not be so rude, maybe next time be tactful and instead of saying you need to leave, maybe use some common sense and say. Hi, I was wondering after the game you all would mind taking the baby out as blah blah blah. It's so not right to come at people the way she did. On top of that, how about offering to refund our money as we both had beers left to drink etc. I, then after mentioning to her that being so rude was so not cool, should really consider treating people with respect, tells me, you need to leave. I then said, yup you lucky I am in a good mood as I'd have no problem calling the cops and letting you try to explain to them why you don't know the laws. Because if you have a bar & Grill ( meaning a kitchen) then the rule doesn't apply about minors. So in the end the owner is at fault by not knowing the law and codes. The fine is also $1,000 to them and $250 to us, if it were JUST a bar and we were in, again since the place serves food and has a kitchen it doesn't apply. Not to mention we had just had a beer down the way at a place called the Liberty Public Market and they have kids everywhere and they serve, beer, wine and hard booze, in a common area that also has food going. Again this was at 4pm and we just were gonna shoot a couple games before it got dark. Not like we rolled into the place at 10pm when they kid should have been sleeping, the kid is 4 months old, can't even walk yet. Their loss as we were looking for a cool place to have some food and drinks once a week when we roll down and visit ! Such a shame they had zero knowledge of the laws, but less commons sense to use class! BTW we found this place on yelp,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDesi's is a really chill, low-key bar and grill directly north of Liberty Station in Point Loma. They have a great beer selection and a full bar. They also serve remarkably good bar food. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich or the corndog. They have a jukebox, two pool tables, and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. An all-around good spot to hang out for an hour or two.
Update: During the pandemic, Desiās discontinued their original kitchen and menu and brought in a third-party group to run their kitchen. The food is still great. Honestly, the food is better than anything at Stone Brewing, and Desiās is only two blocks from there. The chicken sliders and the smash burger...

Not a huge selection of liquor either, but what they have is pretty good. Quite a few whiskeys and tequilas. I had some wings and they were ok, but not great. There's a couple of pool tables and darts. 80's and 90's music was playing too.
Service - 5 Food - 3 Drinks - 4 Comfort - 4
If you want to possibly have a quite evening having drinks, watch some sports and have some good conversation, it's a good option.
There's a basement with a pool table as well, so if you want some privacy, it's pretty cool. Though the restrooms are down...
