I got the Boneless one pound wings (I got the half dirty ranch, half spicy garlic). I’ll just say there is definitely a reason why this business wins so many local awards for their wings. 🔥 This corner spot on Santa Monica/Cable is an absolute gem. I’ll definitely be back!

Update: Yesterday was the first time trying the Buffalo Chicken Salad at Dirty Birds Ocean Beach and glad I’m forcing myself to try new things (around OB). This bowl of greatness was romaine lettuce, red onion, tomato, carrot, celery, buffalo chicken pieces, blue cheese crumbles and blue cheese dressing (*or you can order a different dressing). Super super tasty and this photo doesn’t do justice to the size of the bowl. I ate until I was full then had to get a to-go box to gladly eat the rest a few hours later. 🙃😁 Definitely now on my new routine route of things to eat in OB.

Another update: The other day I noticed under their main TV (at the bar) they sell their Dirty Birds dipping and grilling sauces. I had no idea and I’m guessing I’m not the only one so I thought I’d share. Now knowing they sell some of their flavor sauces, my home grilling game is going to sky rocket! I ended up grabbing 4 different bottles to try. They are all good and my current favorite is the PMP Warrior which says it’s a sweet and spicy blend of red jalapeño sauce and honey which would be best for grilling and dipping sauce on wings, chicken tenders, ribs or as a marinade for tri-tip. I’ve been using it on a lot of things and last night I melted butter in a shot glass, added PMP Warrior sauce to that butter and poured it on fresh popped popcorn. Yeah, it was grrrrrrreat! What else beside the obvious would it be good on? I also added some to a can of tuna for that spicy tuna kick. I'm a local and go here often with (usually) great service and food. But tonight they went above and beyond. I made a reservation for 19 people on a trivia Friday night for my birthday. Not only did Michael, the manager who talked to me on the phone, take our reservation but they had two full large tables set up and ready for us by the time we arrived (10min earlier than actual reservation time) .Our server, Alyse, was extremely accommodating, kind, and efficient even when we were a large group with a lot of requests and all over the place. The food was fresh and delicious and everything was brought out timely and without any issues. On top of that Michael, the manager stopped by the table to say hi and make sure everything was okay.

Lastly, they were kind enough to split the bill by customer and did not impose a 1-bill-per part rule on us. I was extremely satisfied with the service and food quality since I work in the industry and deeply understand how challenging it can be to accommodate such a large group and still wear a genuine smile and great attitude like Alyse did throughout the entire time.

This just became our birthday celebration spot in OB. We'll be back very soon for sure.
