I live down the street so I go here, unfortunately, a few times a month because they are open late. This is by far the worst dominoes I've ever been to. On one occasion I ordered a large 3 topping pizza only to receive just cheese. To make matters worse, the pizza wasn't even sliced!! This is at a time of day when they weren't even busy. When I called to complain and after being put on hold for 5 min, they said they would refund my card. What they ended up doing was charging my card again and then taking off the new charge, leaving the original charge unaffected.
On a different occasion I got carry out and when I went in the store, me and the person in front of me were standing there for over close to 10 min before anyone came to assist us. I walked out.
This place is all around a pathetic excuse for a restaurant of any variety. I would recommend literally anywhere else. They skimp on toppings like its part of their job description and 1/2 the time there are visible spaces of just their ketchup sauce because they put a sub-minimal amount of cheese on the pizza before baking it.
Oh yeah and on a different occasion I ordered a sub over the phone and went to the store to pick it up and, per usual policy, was standing in the lobby for 5 min before anyone helped me. They said my sub was almost out of the oven... a little suspect since I ordered the sub 20 min before arriving but whatever. So I wait and after 10 min I call another employee over and they look around for a bit and said that no one actually ever made my sub!! So they make me a new one. Now a total of 25 min has gone by (45 if you count from the time I placed my order) and I am waiting for my original order. When I came back to get it (no other place close by was open b/c the late night food scene in La Jolla is not good) all they gave me was a free bag of chips (which are 1/2 the size of the one's you find in gas stations. This is what you put in your 3rd graders lunch bag. Still paid for a crappy sub.
Awesome Dominoes! You've truly outdone yourselves. I'm so grateful for this toddler's bag of chips after you wasted the last hour of my time. Oh and with regard to the sub, the portions were light per usual policy. This was my last visit a couple months ago. I won't be returning. When I'm drunk at 1am, I'd rather starve or feel sick rather than go back here.
In brief, do not give this embarrassment of an establishment any money and lets all hope they go out of business and something better...
Read moreSHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!! ! A few months ago my and my neighbors parked car was hit by a Dominoes driver with no insurance. His estimated speed was 70 plus miles a hour and blowing through a stop sign in a heavy foot traffic area. After finding out the driver Xavier had no insurance I called Dominos to get their insurance. I was referred to Sam the bosses boss I was informed. He advised me to gather all the estimate information and forward it to him. I requested approval for a rental car never received any; paid for it anyway because we needed a car specifically for a work event. I was ignored when requesting any update until I called the local store trying to get corporate contact numbers which they said they didn’t have, weird that a company can not contact their own corporate. Finally after getting all the necessary damage estimates $10k in damages with a bent frame on my car, I was informed that I would be getting a call from Marco to approve or not approve the repairs or money spent already just to get the car running plus the rental. Over a week later I have left multiple emails, texts and voicemails with Sam for Marco’s contact info with ZERO response. I was trying to be patient and nice to keep this out of the courts to save everyone time and money is why I waited so long for them to do the right thing. My neighbors received their compensation from dominos a while ago. I hope this makes people in our community that they service think twice before ordering from a business that has been responsible for negatively impacting our neighborhood. Thank goodness no one walking their dog, walking home from work, coming back from school, exercising etc was injured or killed.
PICS!!! My car is the white Focus now with 10k of damage not including the time headache stress and financial disposition of losing a car for a few weeks waiting to...
Read moreExtremely rude staff. I spent an hour on the phone trying to cancel my order that was placed for 2 days from now. During this hour I was on hold 3 times after which I finally got someone to “cancel” it for me (based on what I was told while on hold, the manager is the one that can cancel the order). Upon my order “cancellation” I was told that I need to call on Wednesday again and confirm that I don’t get charged. I told, who I assume is the manager, that I just spent an hour on the phone and that I don’t really want to do that on Wednesday again after she said that she “understands”. I asked her if there is any other way I can see that my order is cancelled because I can’t be calling and spending an hour again on Wednesday, to which she said that I need to call and I need to understand I am not the only customer. And after that, she hung up the call. So, if the owner of this franchise is reading this, I would really consider additional training for the management at your location if you want to stay in business. This was my first and the last time ordering from you. I can’t imagine that any of your customers will want to deal with this. In addition, you should staff the place more during critical hours — I was calling between 6 and 7pm, so I’m sure the place was busy. If I were ordering the pizza instead of cancelling the order, I certainly would not wait an hour on the phone to do that. This is a pizza business, not urgent care where I might need to...
